At first this update may seem a little odd, but the following are the reasons for it being as it is:

- Need more coverage, and hopefully have at least one smod on at most times. Therefore time zones are considerations with this update.

- Looking for mods/smods who don't necessarily display seriousness all the time or actively search around for problems to solve. At the same time, they don't avoid problems when they are brought to them or they happen to come across them.

- Need mods/smods who are realistic and neither explode or undermine situations.


Along with the above, there are many mods and smods who have not been on the site in a long time. Unfortunately the time has come and their positions need to be replaced by more active members. If any inactive mods or smods return, they should contact an admin and we'll see if their positions can be restored (not removing those who replaced them).

So with that in mind, more spots than usual have opened up. The following are the new mods (in alphabetical order):

SMods:

- Alpha Weapon
- DarkDream
- Final F8
- Kimojuno
- Vietpryde

Mods:

- -Xal-
- 56Kowboy
- Asyluman
- Fabolous
- Traver

With this update, however, we're going to try something a little different. Instead of giving the mods their forums right away we are going to first let them into the Mod Discussion forum where they can become accustomed to what should be done. Since we're trying to repair the team, perhaps this can help to prevent some confusion-related issues and also help the team more thoroughly define itself. Also, keep in mind that some of the current moderators may receive additional forums in the near future.

Also, regarding both the mods and smods, there were many who qualified for the positions and we're sorry that we could not promote everyone. There just aren't enough spots, and the community is going to have to grow a bit before more are likely to open up. We don't mean for harm to be done with the decision, with every update we're looking for different things, and perhaps you will have the chance later on.

As of this post I am going to make the changes. I posted this first so other threads don't pop up about this, I'm trying my best not to glorify the position.
