Agapetos and Pendragon walk up, and see oric. pendragon immediatly yells "hey! Oric! OVER HERE!"
"what my dear friend is trying to say is, we have been sent to you, with news both grave yet joyful." says agapetos

Oric, who had been leaving the armor shop, immediately ran to Agapetos and Pendragon when Ped yelled. "What? What is it?"

"as i said before, we have been questing for you." says agapetos "terrible news... the king.. he is..... dead. he and his men were ambushed, and only the captain survived. now, the not so bad news. in his last breath, the king stated that you were his hier, so you now rightfully have the kingdom. we were sent to tell you that by the king's men, and now they wan't you to come and claim the crown."
"will you come to the castle?" asks pendragon

Oric gaped at Agapetos as he explains what happened. Who would want the King dead? Oric could think of several people, mostly power-hungry nobles who all believed they had more right to the crown then the next guy. But why had the King wanted him to be his successor? Surely, with the supposed heir to the throne gone, every noble with the least bit of power would have sprung out of no where and attempted to take the crown. Every moment wasted made it so he had less chance to get the crown. But he couldn't leave now! He had to find out what this new continent was!

"I wish I could, but as you can see, this is a continent that probably hasn't been known to exist by Aderon for hundreds of years. I have to find out what this continent is about! I've been searching for it for months," Oric said.

"ahhh, yes. i heard you were searching for something, it had to do with that effigy, correct?" says agapetos "well, we shall help you find what it means, so this quest, and ours, can be done all the faster. what do you need of us, o king to be?"

[Darkness]

"Err, one second," Oric says. He turns around and yells, "DRATHONIAN!" His brother practically falls out of the weapon shop and bounds towards them.

"What is it?" Drathonian says breathlessly. "Agapetos, tell him what you just told me," Oric says to Agapetos.

"well, i basically said the king and his guards died in an ambush, and only the captain survived. in the king's dying breath, he said that oric was his hier. the castle sent me to look for him, but since he's on this quest, pendragon and i have offered to help." says agapetos
"so what do we do now?" asks pendragon

"Wait for something to happen, I guess," Oric said. He then looked at Drathonian, and, seeing the dumb-looking expression on his face, rose up his hand and flicked him on the cheek. Drathonian immediately composed himself, standing up straighter with a smart looking expression on his face.
