Well, right now my sport is cross country and I ended up running almost 7 miles in hillwork when I hadn't run the previous four days. After the run I felt pain in my heel, went to the trainer, found out I had achilles tendonitis. Flush.gif I've had this for several days now (since the beginning of the week) and have reached my frustrating point since I can't stand suddenly not being able to do anything because I've got to rest the tendon.

Anyways, the reason why I posted this is because I've become pretty upset over this and may be kinda depressed when I'm around. sad.gif Hopefully I can get back on track a.s.a.p. or I'll go crazy. sicka.gif

Eugh that's horrible. sad.gif

Well lets just hope it doesn't get extremely bad... a friend of mine tore the ligaments (sp?) in like his leg going to his knee so now he's not allowed to do any physically demanding sport apart from running or biking. And he's a big soccer fan too...

But don't worry Draggy. You'll be in tip top shape once you rest up! There's always an obstacle before the reward so just think of running as your reward. TheSmile.gif

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^

I think not being able to do a sport you love is one of the most heart-breaking things. :\ I guess I'm learning the hard way about being careful and not going over board. icon_sweatdrop.gif I did get new footwear this year, so that may be it too, meh.

Thanks guys. TheSmile.gif I found a site that listed almost exactly the same symptoms I have, and it said recovery time is usually 6-8 weeks... eek7.gif I wish they gave some sort of age chart, lol, since the school trainer made it sound like it wouldn't be long. ponder.gif

Gah, really sorry to hear that Draggy. sad.gif

Hope it heals up soon, it can be really frustrating having to sit around when there's something you want to be doing. Just take things nice and easy, you want it to heal up as soon as possible.

Ouch, not good. Hopefully it will heal up soon Dragman. It's no fun to be out of cross country, my sister is a USATF national runner and I ran for 2 years in middle school. Maybe I'll start running again bluetongue.gif .

Bleh, that stinks... sad.gif I'm not much of a runner myself... Have very low stamina... but I know what you mean. Still, well, the sun will come out tomorrow. Just a little while of rest will do you good, and you'll be right as rain in no time. grnwink.gif

Meh, my dad doesn't allow me to do fencing anymore because the lesson dude wasn't there sometimes. Does that count? bluetongue.gif
