mkay here we go
I was on runescape bits and bytes and was playing around with the calculators.
I entered all my stats and it said my combat correctly, said i need 1.3 magic levels for a combat level up, etc.

but when it showed my attack, strength and ranging (stats i never train), it says i need HUGE number of levels to up my combat (like +/- 3 away from my combat), despite the fact that some recources tell me that training combat stats will always increase your combat, and that attack, defense, and strength affect it more than prayer and magic.

basically, im confused. Is someone who is supreme in all combat stats gonna have an extremely high combat level?

Now your either melee based, ranged based, or magic based. Since you're magic based, only your magic, defense, prayer, and hits will affect your combat. At least I think that's how it works.

Yeah, it's split up into factions/groups to make leveling easier and faster for the more seperate players.

If you have 1 atk say....and 60 magic and you get 20 atk that will raise your combat 5 times...Every melee stat raised by 4 lvls will give you a combat even if you are mage prayer or range based

Thats wrong style, that was RSC, my friend was into ranging got to 69 then really wanted to be unpure but was pissed cos he needed like 30 attack levels to altar his combat.
