My Inactivity & Explanation

Hey everyone,
I'd like to explain my inactivity for you guys for those that have been wondering. About a year ago I joined a new community that I heard about on the radio here in Miami. It is a mix between club and community based out of Miami and currently has over 5k active memberships with about 50-60% of the members active on the forums. Like I said, I heard about this community on the radio and their activities in Miami ranging from running groups, triathlon training, baseball and softball leagues, and much more. It seemed like an awesome club to join so I did and was given a 3 month free membership. After experiencing the club, I joined as an official member and gave my membership fee, based on income so people of all incomes can join (Ranging from $10-$250 a month, plus donations). In order to join you must be 18, graduated highschool, reside in Miami-Dade County, and must provide photo ID at the monthly club meeting in order to be validated and accepted.
I was immediatly turned on by their activities in the community and all of the branches it has. We have monthly meetings in the conference room of a hotel, we sponsored a youth baseball team and I was a coach of that (went undefeated and won the championship), I run/bike/swim with the triathlon group, and volunteer time to Habitat for Humanity and other organizations. This has become a big part of my life and I've been becoming distant from SeeD and the members here. For that I apologize, but I can't do much about it. I'm not leaving SeeD and I'm certainly not upset, but I've found a new priority and it has taken a lot of my time, which I enjoy.
I'm happy with the club because it is a new experience for me and has provided many friendships. The forums are there for the members and we don't have fights or any conflicts, which comes with a site like that because of it being a club and an age requirement. The people are mostly my age or around there, ranging from 18 up to the 30's. We are establishing ourselves in the community and becoming known. We advertise over various radio stations and are frequently on the local news channels when we hold large events, almost monthly.
This is the reason for my inactivity here and is going to most likely continue. I just wanted everyone to know why I've been in the background and not totally active. I guess you could say I've found a community that I feel to be a true member of and not pushed to the side or discredited. It is a place I really enjoy being a member of and I've been focusing my attention more on the club than on SeeD. I don't feel like a true member of SeeD anymore and I know I'm not close with the members like I used to be. I just don't feel like I did before and I've developed a bad reputation around here, many reasons for that are out of my control because of my personal life and the atmosphere here. So with that, I apologize for my inactivity here and now you know why I'm not going to be as active as I've been before.
Thanks,
Alex

Congrats on finding a great club Base, sounds like a lot of fun.
I totally understand why you'd prefer it since you actually go out and do things while SeeD's online-only. Everyone should make sure they get the mix so that you're mood is more balanced (starting running in high school definitely helped mine).
I'm not just sayin' this for a warm fuzzy, but I've always thought of you as one of the SeeDs to have the greatest impact on SeeD. No impact is all good, we've all had our bad times, and you always faced yours and dealt with them which I admired. Sounds like your leadership qualities and character are pulling through in the club, I hope you have many more enjoyable moments there.

I happen to agree with Draggy, although we haven't always gotten along, I've always respected you Base and am glad that you have found a place/club to call your own. Also I understand what you mean, it's nice to find a place that is both online and in real life, so I'll finish this with a good luck and have fun.
