I recently was up late at night and heard about this guy called Kevin Trudeau. He says that he actually wrote a book called, "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Hear About." This book supposedly has natural cures that range from curing Arthritis to ADD. He goes on saying that the the FDA, the FTC, and some Health Organizations and Drug Companies as being evil and corrupt. When I first heard about these claims, I thought it was too good to be true and so I decided to do a little research. I researched various articles and web sources and it turns out that this guy is a real snake.

What's ironic for someone who says that the Government and drug companies are evil, that he has had legal problems since 1990. Ranging from posing as a doctor to deposit $80,000 in false checks to being banned by the FTC. Quote from Wikipedia. "More recently, on September 7, 2004, the FTC announced that they were banning Trudeau from "appearing in, producing, or disseminating any future infomercials that advertise any type of product" because he repeatedly made "fraudulent" and "unsubstantiated" claims in them. In addition, Trudeau paid $500,000 in cash and transferred ownership of a luxury vehicle and a piece of residential property in California to satisfy a $2 million fine against him"

In my opinion this guy is a real snake and is playing on the fears and peoples conscious and is trying to cheat honest people out of their own money. Honestly the nerve of some people.

Most likely, because people tend to believe things easily, but yeah...O.o;

My dad told me about this guy. He got rich by selling things that didn't work well and charging a lot in Shipping and Handling, and he said 'If you don't like it, just send it back for a full refund!' Well, he would give them back the money for the actual thing, but not S&H grnwink.gif

The funny/sad thing is that is legal, he doesn't have to give back S&H when giving a refund, so yeah I agree he did cheat people but that part was just plane sneaky. Suave_anim.gif

Yeah thats the ironic thing about it, the guy really puts on a pretty face for the media and then when it comes to truth time and you try these things out they dont work. Thats what they did with that eye q thing, its basically just to teach you how to speed read and improve your comprehension and accuracy, not actually increase your iq. Really funny though a lot of these programs and products that are out there if you think about it, it's all meant to target a person on a subconscious level and in some sense it would work but nothing really life changing. What's funny is if you really want to know or improve upon something just look it up on the internet and learn how to develop or improve what your trying to do. No shrotcuts for me. book.gif

Can't say I've heard of him, but that is quite ridiculous. He belongs in jail.

this is one of the more productive posts you've made, and i commend you for it.

in fact, my chemistry teacher was just telling me about this man and his book. for about $35, you get a book that goes on (for the whole length of the book) about how doctors and the government keep people sick by administering harmful drugs and treatment. then at the end, he gives you a link to his site, where you have to pay $500 for access to the actual "natural cures" that his book is supposed to contain. it's funny for a moment to think about what kind of people would have to be stupid enough to believe in this, but there's a lot more to it.

consider a mother of a cancer patient. she's desperate to have her son get better, and she's prepared to use any means to do it. in fact, she's desperate enough to believe some bs that this conman puts in a book that she has her son stop his chemotherapy treatment and instead pays $500 for access to a site that tells her that her son will be cured if the little boy, say, takes some special calcium pills (of Trudeau's brand, of course) every night.

it's sick to think that Trudeau can be considered a member of the human race.

Just a clever yet dirty salesman I guess. Even if you can get away with something, it doesn't mean you should do it due to the consequences. If you aren't paying for it someone else is. :\
