A generic thread (that can be altered) that may be used on Runescape sites other than Runescape Community. You don't need to use it, but I figured that if time is an issue, it can't get much easier than copying and pasting. bluetongue.gif

I will write another at a later date for use on non-RS communities. You may promote SeeD anywhere, but please don't use this thread unless relating to Runescape.

QUOTE
Ever think about joining an active clan with which you can participate in numerous events, go PKing, be a part of a great community (which transcends the game itself), or just do what should be the purpose of any clan... have fun? Well why don't you join the hundreds of players who joined SeeD for those reasons?

SeeD has existed since late 2001 and has weathered through many situations... Always strengthening from them. Now we are perhaps one of the most developed clans in the game. Created and maintained completely with the members in mind, almost the entire clan was molded by the members themselves. The leaders work to maintain the member-led atmosphere, for the members are obviously the life of the clan.

We are also strongly against rulebreaking and have helped numerous players handle situations brought upon them in Runescape.

The members are also very friendly and some are extremely generous. At parties and other events we have even gone to the point of giving away party hats on an occasion or two. Although we have rune miners and other high-leveled players, they are always glad to help those who are new.

Everyone is welcome

... And once you join you can participate in our numerous events... Or host your own. Events are always welcome in SeeD, and with our recent expansion into other games these events can be in Runescape or elsewhere. From parties, to PKing, to skill contests, to firemaking events, and even to running through the wilderness with level 3 Santa characters before Christmas. Need proof? Here are some screenshots of previous events we have held (with many more in our gallery):

"Runescape was getting pretty boring, training one skill after the other, and I wanted something more. I believe I first checked out a clan, can't remember the name, I believe it was Swedish, anyway. I emailed the leader, as it said to do if you wanted to join. Two weeks later, I began searching again, the leader never giving me a reply. I still haven't had one to this day.

The next clan I came to was, huzzah, SeeD! I saw it as an oppurtunity, a small...ish clan not quite at its humble beginnings, but already on its way to something greater. I immediately made my first forum post in the Recruit/Request board (an Archive now), and got an quick response, officially making me a SeeD.

Actually, I think that was in the old one. grnwink.gif

There isn't really anything new, I just updated certain things that were made obsolete by time, and changed the arrangement a little so it would be more effective.

Good stuff, good stuff. The pictures make it a lot more convincing. I'll see if I can spread these a bit. grnwink.gif

EDIT: Just wondering... Should there be a set title and subtitle as well?

{lang:macro__view_post}

Any title and subtitle could be used, but I would recommend not using a total member count in them because they tend to start arguments. I'd recommend mentioning at least one of the following points, but it's up to you:

- Established in 2001 (as opposed to a member count)
- 'Now Recruiting'
- 'Everything clan'

I would not recommend that anyone says that we're the "best" or something along those lines though, for it would make even the strongest or most developed clans seem over-advertised, which gives an impression of a less developed clan.

*****************************************

Also, just a note for everyone who is considering making a recruitment post on a board other than RSC (I'll say why if someone asks me on a messenger)... Don't categorize SeeD. Contrary to the popular dogmatic polarity of 'skill clans' and 'pking clans' there is more to a clan than either or both.

SeeD is not a PKing clan, skill clan, warring clan, fan-based clan, party clan, modular clan, or community clan. It is what the members make it and is not in the same spectrum, and to say we are would be contrary to the realistic truth.

SeeD is SeeD, and it is in the 'clan' category. We used to call it an 'everything clan' and nothing changed since then. So let's not wrongly narrow our image.

*****************************************

Also, not a big deal, but I'll ask that moderators not amend the post (even to add to it). There is a limit for how much should realistically be conveyed, and I think we're pushing it already. Adding more, even if it's good stuff, will likely make it less effective.

As is (and has been) in the first sentence of the first line of the first post:

This means that it should not be used on RSC, and it isn't because of Killer.
