This first commercial shows a guy and his friend buying a Mountain Dew. After purchasing this fine product, his car keys now have the magical ability to transform ordinary, everyday items into cooler, more attractive versions. First he transforms his car into a hot, new pimped out truck, then he turns the keys on his friend and morphs him into an attractive young female with a similar taste for this Mountain Dew. This commercial implements the humor, symbol and attractiveness advertising techniques to make the customer want to buy a cool, crisp, refreshing Mountain Dew. The target audience of this commercial is for young adults wishing to have a better car and a hot girlfriend.

The second commercial shows an athletic young man with a cool 'fro buying a Mountain Dew. Upon making this purchase, many warriors, ninjas, and heavily armored knights arrive at the sceen to challenge the kid to a game of basketball. Using his Über1337 skills, the kid dodges a variety of melee weaponry including, but not limited to, swords, knives, staffs, flails, and a hockeystick. He then procedes to score 2 points and brags about how they never even touched him, though after making these remarks, his hair and shirt fall off him in a tattered mess. This commercial employs the youthful/fun, symbol, humor, and overexposure advertising techniques to target people who play sports and those who play videogames or watch movies that have characters similar to those whom the kid did battle with.
