I think that through trial and error we can work out a set of armour (e.g. chain, leather chaps, mage hat) that has good defenses for crush, stab, slash, magic and archery. It wouldn't be perfect, but would be cheaper that buying every Rune armour item when you only need a couple...

I dont think that the e.g. u gived has more def then a full rune and about those skills u said that are improved i agree but those are now high improved so...

No, if you have full Rune, then you'll have magic and maybe archery defense taken away...

Magic Defense decreases for every 'metal' type of armor worn. Archery Defense increased for every 'metal' type of armor worn. Different types of metal mean lower magic defense and higher ranged defense. Also, get dragonhide chaps, they are better.

Whoops... Haven't been in this board for about 2 months. The other thing that now factors in here is running energy. Your energy decreases rapidly with a full set of metal armour.

Like gotenks said, we want light, good armour. And what I was thinking was a good combo of chain, leather, etc., for example that gave the best possible protection from everything.

I still think that Mithril should weigh less on this game, allowing the wearer to run faster. That is how it works in every game/story/etc. that includes it.

Rune is the best, by far.

Every fantasy world is unique. Though many things are similar between most medieval fantasy games, they're never carbon copies. Andrew could decide Mithril weighs as much as lead... hey, it's his world.

But still Mithril is very light in every other fantasy world, it should be like that here too.

But this thread was dead, and you had nothing to contribute.

(Don't do it, it's highly annoying)

yeah, but we need lightly armored peeps to take damage from mages because ur mage armor decreases when you have more metal on. rune would only be good on the melee attackers. Plus, if they die it's not like rune is the cheapest thing in the world.

I have found that probably the best combination of f2p armor against mage and melee is rune legs, large, kite, scim, green dragonhide body and vambs, and boots. Diamond ammy is preferable, but ruby is okay too.

If you wear mith to a war, you will be slaughtered.

What kind of mage would attack a lightly armored person then a more armored person? No offense or anything.

Rune Armor vs Mage is only useful when the mage wont/cant cast bind or snare. Rune vs Melee is helpful. Rune vs Ranger is good as well.

Of course if you don't want to take rune then just take addy...

Addy is too weak to take PKing. I could easily take out a 100+ in addy, if I'm in rune. It's that much weaker.
