When this was brought up before (on a few occasions, both on the forums and via messenger), the majority of replies were positive. Some time passed, and it was brought up again. The replies were fairly positive again. So we're going to try it and see what happens. No use sitting on an idea that seems to be what the majority wants.

First of all, what could be gained from a merge? With the problems aside that sparked it from UFF's initial perspective, is this a compromise or is it positive? This can be looked upon in different ways. SeeD and UFF were obviously different, although there are many similarities. However, there would be a number of things to which one would need to adjust. Change can be stressful, but is it always bad? SeeD and UFF have similar goals. SeeD focuses more on community and UFF focuses more on the game (and I'm not saying that that's all both clans did, it's just what most considered a strength to my knowledge). They compliment each other rather well if allowed to do so. Also, SeeD has roots in many games, although SeeD comes from Runescape and has its deepest roots there. Specifically, those roots go back about four years to 2001. We've been pursuing goals that are similar to those of UFF for quite a while.

By merging with SeeD, both UFF and SeeD are more capable of doing what either were doing previously. Since SeeD transcends Runescape, after the inevitable turbulence of the merge (which seems to be over) there should be more stability than UFF experienced before, since even when our members leave Runescape they tend to stick around SeeD for other reasons.
However, those coming from UFF cannot experience anything of this sort by merely associating themselves with this forum. This mere forum has no leadership, no structure, no purpose, and no tangible goals. In order for benefits to be gained by those of both spectrums, interaction is required and unfortunately this forum, in its current state, is standing in the way of that.

This forum has no purpose as it is. Some are confused and thinking this forum alone is a clan, when in fact we're all in the same clan. UFF and SeeD are both SeeD. We have the same alliances, the same events, and the same community (hopefully more than either had previously apart).
This doesn't mean that UFF has to abandon its previous associations and structure. We can basically provide for all of that in a Garden with the exception of what pertains to war.
- Dokimos would be the Garden's Headmaster.
- For the most part, a lot of the previous structure can be carried over. This includes leadership, "companies", and other things.
- Interaction would be easier from both directions.
- You would have a tangible identity within SeeD.
- Hopefully all of this would lead to the integration that's required for any benefits to be gained by the merge. This doesn't have to be all negative or compromise.
Sometime soon, probably tonight, this forum will become your Garden's forum. While a Garden is technically inter-game you can still focus on Runescape and everything that is being done currently.
Here is the part that I will ask for a little leeway though... No Gardens are exclusive within SeeD, and Gardens are pretty much the only real thing we implement other than the "Ranks" that have anything to do with Final Fantasy VIII (where "SeeD" is from). Therefore there is a slight naming issue, because having a Garden that obviously diverges from the rest would make it seem isolated and only accessible to those previously from UFF. Therefore, the Garden will probably be named "Winhill Garden" since it is one of the regions not really included in the others. However, I will visibly flag it as being from UFF so your previous identity is not lost.
For us to provide the freedom of organization and also provide for beneficial interaction, that's all I ask.

If you have any comments, feel free to reply. Since we received a decent amount of positive feedback previously, it's probably a good thing to try this. If it doesn't turn out well, then something else can be worked out. If it does, as I think it will... Then good luck with organizing your Garden.
