Most of the major towns have something done to them. That was taken in Lion's Arch, which is where you also get the christmas quests.

Ascalon, Lion's Arch, the Forge and the Tomb of the Primeval Gods all have decorations, though. And they all have collectors trading items from nearby monsters for presents and such. bluetongue.gif

Warning: That Snowman quest requires you to be able to go to Droknar's Forge for part of it, unfortunately. icon_sweatdrop.gif
Not sure about Grenth's Quest, haven't done it yet.

Happy Wintersday, all you Guild Wars players and SeeDlings! biglaugh.gif

The Grenth Quest can be done by anyone who has made it up to Kryta so far and can make it to the Temple of the Ages. More like the Black Curtain but it's easier from the Temple of the Ages. bluetongue.gif

A new addition from yesterday is the ability to have Snowmen Henchmen. They're just like Ice Golems except they have the cool as snowman face and they're Ice Elementalists of course. They can be added to your party in Lion's Arch however they're pretty sucky against Fire monsters. icon_sweatdrop.gif

Another addition is the ever-so-addictive Snowball Fight. If you go to Lion's Arch, you can enter into the Snowball Fight which is right between the Avatars of Dwayna and Grenth. This is like a pvp event however you cannot team up to go play since they randomly select you into teams of four once you enter the mission. Your skills are also changed to suit your classes (I'm pretty sure about that... could be skills not classes) which is another amusing yet helpful addition to the game.

The skills are quite good in their own way. Every person in the arena has 500 hitpoints and 40 energy points so there is no disadvantage and all the skills do a certain amount of damage. Everyone has the "Snowball" skill which does 50 damage when it hits and I think everyone has the "Snow Fort" (blocks projectiles for a certain amount of time unless you move out of the fort) and "Snowcone" (heals 300hp but disables skills for a certain amount of time) skills.

As a Mesmer/Monk, I got another adrenaline skill which does 75 damage and a skill called "Snow Down The Shirt" which makes it so that when you hit the opponent you cast the spell on, they get interrupted and it lasts 20 seconds I think. Also got a glyph which makes it so that your next snowball dazes an opponent and funny named skill called "Yellow Snow" which removes a status ailment from you and makes your next snowball covered in poison. There's one more skill but it's slipped my mind. biglaugh.gif

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^

How many five-year-olds could you take in a fight?

I don't think Tanny will be able to run you straight to Droknar's Forge, I know I wouldn't be capable of it.

I got there the proper way, by getting through all the jungle and desert missions. That'd take a while though, so I don't know if you'd get it all done in time for Wintersday.

Mmm yeah like I said before Matt, I wouldn't be able to run you myself. I'd get creamed. bluetongue.gif

Although maybe if me and Goto did it with you we could get through. biglaugh.gif

And I'll force Cspace to help as well. bluetongue.gif

It's not simply a matter of numbers, you have to really know what you're doing to get through. I've tried it solo, and I've tried it in parties. I also tried it with Veg, who has apparently made it through in the past. We never got very far at all, the enemies there are tough. bluetongue.gif
