Anyway, it was the day before our concert, we were having a practise, and we realized we couldn't play way away. Drum part was too hard, and I procrastinated too much and didn't learn it. Oh well, we'll only play 2.
Oh, ****, i didn't learn the GC one.
So, tis the day of the concert, we were gonna play the GC one first, which I didn't know at all. I listened to it once on my friends iPod, and then we played the song, and I improvised basing it on what I heard from. I did terrible. We finished the song, looked at the audience (like 25-ish people), and there was silence. No sound at all.
And then they exploded
Next we played Holiday, which was like the second song I ever learned on drums ever. All three of us could play the song perfectly, so this was gonna be good.
And then I messed up the intro, missed the first two fills, messed up the second one, drove the whole band off beat on the second verse, and killed the ending.
For some bizzare reason, they thought it was even better than the first song O.o. Anyway, after they finally shut up, a few little kids were playing some songs on the violin, and when it was time for the last little kid to play, his DAD literally said: "He can wait, I wanna hear the band again, they ruled". A father, to his own 8 yaer old son, telling him to shut up cuz he wanted to heard OUR band again. I was like 'dude, we're not that good'.
Basically, it ruled, and my parents bought me all this **** for drums cuz they 'suddenly realized how good you are, and we need to develope youre talents'. I'm like, holy ****.
ANYWAY. Our next concert will be on march 25th, cuz its the saturday before my Bday (the sat. after is april fools day, we can't do taht
My drum teacher's like 'you guys are gonna making money MUCH sooner than you think'. I'm like, 'O.o'.
I'll try to get a recording if anyone wants to hear our awesomeness
