Ok, so sometimes I get bored and I search on Freewebs.com.

So I was searching runescape things, and I was typing in stuff like freewebs.com/runescape or freewebs.com/rune1 and then when I came across *removed site* I saw a scam.

This guy says he knows how to hack runescape and tells you to e-mail this account with your username, your password, and your desired username to hack. It's really bad because first of all, the E-mail is from hotmail.com and if Jagex was to have an E-mail it would be @jagex.com or something. So he also said that if you E-mail that to the account you will get a response in 2 days and you will be able to hack the account. I Know its fake and I didn't make it or try it, and the guy can't even spell. I just wanted to warn people.

ClownSlayer: Removed linky; Dont want curious people to go there..

Thanks for warning us though grnwink.gif thumb.gif

There's so many of them, the only one I ever saw was really genius. I fell for it, and lost all my armor.

This was three years ago, mind you, but he copied the site exactly, and put up a special bonus at top. Just enter your name and password for a raffle. I was like, Hells yeah! Then I come home later and all my stuff's gone. Just check the top. Never use any hacks, period.
HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(

Ya, my friend got hacked once. It was actually pretty smart. He got an E-mail supposadly from Jagex that he was one of the lucky thousound that were picked to try the rs2 trial. This was like 2 years ago. And so me and him went to the site and he put in his username and password to log on, and it said that the server was full each time. So I tried but I used my bad account and it still said the server was full, then a week later he lost his account.

Yes, Jollyman34, that is a pure example of password scamming by website. There are many of them, even on some sites that give the guise of being reputable cheat sites. They don't scam honest players, though. They cheat the ones who aim to cheat.

Same way with item scamming in Runescape. It is the greedy who get tricked by their own greed. The great deal for full rune for 100K seems great until you've found you bought full mithril instead.

If you can learn how to avoid getting scammed early in life in a game, be glad. Because many have had to learn the lesson hard with real money and property. Yes, the same kind of scams are pulled in real life.

Scamming, whether password or item, is against Jagex's rules for Runescape, therefore, is also against the values of United Freedom Fighters.
