HOLY CRAP! I got a CE mod! And for some reason, CE doesn't require a CD anymore. crazy.gif

But anyway, the cell shaded mod makes it look like this:

PC. See, this is why Halo PC owns. Cause it's coding is so simple now that an 8-year old can make an awesome mod. Such as devtrainer. DEVMODE ONLINE!

See, this is why Halo 2 owns. Cause it's coding is so simple now that an 8-year old can make an awesome mod. Such as Dothalo combined with adobephotoshop.

actually thats the problem now... most of the modders ive seen (xbl halo2) are actually 8-10 yrs old. and most of those are people who have what i affectionately refer to as wh*re mods (spawn mods) these {bleep} are the reason mods get a bad rep.
those same idoits also are the reason i constantly get {bleep}ed at constantly.

You need those to texture, but modelling requires a hella lot more.

Wait, by no cd, do you mean you don't need it to play, or don't need it at all (instalation & play)
This was totally out-dated.
Now it's updated.
I think?
Yeah.

do you mean making an entire new .map? or just adding new structures into an existing .map?

It needs to be an entirely new map, even if you're just adding to old ones. The game finds the file corrupted if it doesn't match the preset stats of that .map file in the game. It creates rules for new maps, so it has to be a new map.

it depends on the type of object you add.
you know those gates on containment? (halo2)

you can get an entire race track made of those on top of the level and it isn't corrupted.
i do it on xblive occasionally. first one to the end gets nuclear rockets biglaugh.gif

actually all it is is just spawning gates laid flat on top of the level.

but thats an xbox...

Xbox wouldn't find a file corrupted because it doesn't check the same as a comp. The maps online all feed off of the host map, while on the comp, it checks to make sure some fatal error doesn't happen because of an online conflict between comps.
