Before, all names for factions had to be directly SeeD, CurvedSpace, or DarkStorm related, however I am adding a little bit more flexibility. There still needs to be a code by which we go where factions are indeed connected, however sometimes our names and other elements simply don't fit a game. Therefore, I am adding a few categories related to our site and SeeD that can also be incorporated in names:

- Anything related to space or astronomy

- Anything related to Final Fantasy (if copyrighted names aren't an issue in the game); this includes any FF game

- Anything related to Star Wars. This isn't obvious, but back when we were starting out, a Star Wars-related name was a possibility for our clan initially. Later on, Gunblade assumed a fake Star Wars clan identity for a few things.

- This may appear obscure, but anything with a Greako-Roman theme. This was also a theme considered for our clan in the beginning. However, it does have some ties to our early clan (and there was also an early Garden that spawned off of it). This includes "legion", "phalanx", "myrmidon", and related names, but they should have titles related to this theme (which will probably include something in mythology unless you're a history person).

This should widen things a little bit so you can make a name that you like. Also, feel free to mix them together if applicable.

Along related lines, we never had any requirements on faction colors, emblems, or whatever else. However, to go with the above themes, I'll provide a few recommendations if you wish for your faction to appear SeeDish:

- The #1 SeeD theme is blue with a lion (if applicable). This represents our original cape color in Runescape, where we were originally from, and the Griever emblem (our clan's "logo" up in the header), which somewhat represents SeeD in Final Fantasy VIII where the name "SeeD" is from. For an example, check out the Defenders of Aderon's cape.

- Another theme, although only colors are applicable with it, is black and blue. This represents the blue star of CurvedSpace, which has been part of CurvedSpace's logo throughout our existence, and at a few times more explicitly as our header.

- Another theme, although less obvious, is red and black. This is a reference to SeeD's old header (when its site was separate), and the opening screen to Final Fantasy VIII, which is where the name "SeeD" is from.

- To go with a Star Wars theme you could also do gray and black, or orange/red and gray.

- To go with the Roman theme, you could do red and, if applicable, have a yellow emblem. Check the Guardians of Arcana's forum for a tabard along these lines (although I cheated , WoW happens to make available the same wreath emblem that the Romans used, so I took the opportunity to have a close-to-exact match to one of our themes).



As always, if you have an idea that does not go along our naming guidelines but could fit as a faction of SeeD, contact an admin to see if it will work. We're reasonably flexible with this.

For an emblem or uniform or whatnot though, there is no need to check with an admin.
