Swords and Bows.
because that forces your enmys to look you in the eyes while they try and kill you.
war is not supposed to be the sanitary un-personal thing that it is now. when you are face to face with somone, and fighting for your life with a sword, the human side of war is more evident.
a coward can pull a triger, but he cant swing a sword at the person staring him in the eyes.
