ShiftSwitch is severely frowned upon by Jagex as it falls under the "Modified Client" to play the game.
Check Rule 7:
Modified versions of the RuneScape client. Reverse engineering the RuneScape client is strictly prohibited. Using a modified version of the RuneScape client is not permitted.
Long while back, a good number of SS users got haxed and had alot of stuff taken. :S It's a security risk. So I'd just be one to disapprove of its use.
Ah well, to each his own, however.

its not unsafe becuz they pay jagex to have link to runescape.
jagex got their copyright and all over there.
i even asked jagex if it was safe to log on runescape from miniclip.com they said it was they aprrove em.

I never said it wasn't OK to use. It does pose a security risk, however.
Regular RuneScape Players may use it, but Jagex has strictly forbidden the use of it by PlayerModerators. Because of the aforementioned security risks, we can't use it to compromise the safety of the game.

Interesting. I remember searching for a world switcher and when i found one it had a keylogger on it. You should be careful and virus scan them all.

Exactly my point.
Sure thing ShiftSwitch is trusted. But the security risk is this:
What's to stop the programmers to implement a keylogger to the window used to play once they're trusted ENOUGH? That way they can have every account that logs into it.
Not worth the risk, imo.
