Whats your school cafeteria like? The food is pretty good, though the prices are worse than gas and its all oily and greasy. I don't eat their food, but always bring my own. However, my friend recently discovered that if you inflate a ziploc bag, put a projectile on the zippered end, and hit the other end at a specified velocity, you can make some heavy things go far and high. I took a normal, 'sandwich sized' ziploc bag, and made two hard granola bars, which i cruble up in their package, go about 25 feet high and 10 feet far. Its a load of fun, and currently, we're experimenting with walnuts. They've gone well so far, and even have a curve on them.
And now we have the quote of the day, from greenl2l: PLONGED!!!

They have the same "hot lunch" stuff from the same company the rest of the district uses, which is better than bad but worse than good. Haven't eaten it since elementary school.

They've also got pizza (from Domino's, of all places... if you're gonna serve pizza, serve decent pizza!) and... stuff. They had hamburgers and stuff too, but I think that all disappeared when the "PMGFATKIDZ" laws went into effect after New Year's.

Eh, Chipótle and Jack-in-the-Box are within driving distance anyway. :-\ (Actually, they're within walking distance, but lunch is ridiculously short... no time to get back)

Our school cafeteria isn't all that bad... There's three lines - the "pizza line", the regular lunch line, and the sandwich line. The pizza and regular lines are pretty much lines that serve the exact same thing, they're just in different parts of the serving place. Every day there's a regular entree plus an alternate. In addition to those you can get your choice of white, regular, or pepperoni pizza (rarely pepperoni). You always get your veggie with the meal, and fries ARE potatoes. Then... along there, you see this big tray of "healthy choices" like celery, carrots, fruit, etc. Most people don't take from that. You've also got your milk, ice cream, other drinks in a big fridgy thing... And, you can buy snacks.

They've also got computers. bluetongue.gif

You type in your student ID, and your account comes up, which you can charge meals directly to. I think a meal is something like $2.15, but I can't remember, last time I bought was last year...

Also, there's a sandwich line, where you can get a variety 'o things like turkey, ham, salami, etc. with other veggies and cheeses on bread. In other words, custom-made sandwiches. Much healthier than other stuffs.

So, not bad, not bad...

My school cafe sucks... period. You have to sell a kidney just to afford a sammich, and nothing even tastes good.

Oh, and there are several good ways to have fun at lunch.

1. Milk Carton popping: empty a milk carton and flatten its top out so its a cube. Set it on the ground and stomp on it, and it makes a loud b00m!

2. Reeses launcher: Let it be noted that a mini reeses fits perfectly inside the nozzel of any 24 ounce plastic bottle. I think you get the picture...

I enjoy buying chocolate milk for $0.25 in the lunch line, then paying $1.50 for it at the vending machine. TheSmile.gif And if you want to get the alternate lunch, that's all you get. You don't get fries, no fruit, just a piece of pizza, one hamburger.. whatever it is that day. And it's still $2.25. ShiftyEyes_anim.gif

Then there's the fuzzy macaroni...

I eat from the line with the oily foods, such as mozzerella sticks, cheese breadsticks, pretzels, nachos, and the like. I then usually get candy at the milkshake and candy line bluetongue.gif . I've been eating cheese breadsticks (Bosco Sticks) all year now as a challenge bluetongue.gif . I know I eat junk, but it's good. Hey, I burn it all off anyways, so there's nothing to lose biglaugh.gif .

Cafeteria sucks at my school.

Sandwhich queue always miles long where you get either cheap cheese or cheap processed meat Icky_anim.gif

Then there's the hot food which is also huge. The chips are hard and tasteless. Then there's loads of food that you don't know what it is such as 'Brocolli' pie Icky_anim.gif

Then there's the fast food line which is'nt as big suprisingly. This is the only place where you can get half decent food. The burgers are ok and so are the pizza and hot dogs.

But I take my own food anyway bluetongue.gif

My lunch isn't all that great. The pizza is ok but I don't think it real worth it, plus it could also be pretty expensive so I try not to buy too much than I need. bluetongue.gif

Our prices are cruddy, but the food's... Ok... Anyways bluetongue.gif We have a ten minute break after second period where there is a.. Cart thingymabob in the Main Quad area (hangoutish place in a courtyard thingy in between a junkload of classes, the office, the library, and the cafeteria) that has stuff.

Sesame SeeD (bluetongue.gif) or Plain Bagel: $1.25
Bagel and Cream Cheese: $1.75 (But it makes it a heckload better >.<)
Small carton of chocolate milk: $0.50
Normal sized chocolate milk thing that is still smaller than normal: $1.00
Lemonade sized like the chocolate milk: $1.00
Orange juice " " " " ": $1.00
A breakfast burrito, I think o.o: Not a clue. It looks gross, and there are bad reports from the school nurse about it, so you won't find me even asking -.- I'm not sure if it's even a breakfast burrito bluetongue.gif
Oh... There's also some other thing they added to the menu lately. There's this sandwichy thing with an egg inside, same report as the burrito thing bluetongue.gif

Then... After fourth period and 'enrichment' (which is being abolished over the summer), lunch! For 30 minutes >.> Anyways, a bit more stuff now. Still cruddy prices, but yeah. They also upped the prices for the lemonade and orange juice by $.25 for some reason, so anyone who buys them buys them during break and stashes them in their backpacks bluetongue.gif

Round Table Pizza (Pepperoni or cheese): $2.00
Three kinds of Subway sandwich: $3.25-$3.75
Some kind of salad in a cup o.o What...?: $1.50-$2.00
Noodles in a cup or something: $1.50-$2.00
Cookie pack (2 of 'em. They taste like poop; they're sugarless grnwink.gif ): $1.00
Doritos, fritos, or normal/chocolate rice krispie treat: $1.00
Gatorade (Red or blue): $1.50
Small carton of chocolate milk: $0.50
Normal sized chocolate milk thing that is still smaller than normal: $1.00
Lemonade sized like the chocolate milk: $1.25
Orange juice " " " " ": $1.25

And then there's some 'lunch meal' line thingymajig that I've never used bluetongue.gif

OK, so... you guys get Round Table, and we're stuck with Domino's? To quote Aristotle, "that's bull****!"

See, people think I'm joking when I complain that Carmel schools are funded like private schools... but meh.

Salinas has money too, foo' <_<

Ah well, it could be worse. If I lived two blocks over I'd be going to PG High with all the druggies.

Yeah, I meant PG, not Salinas. I always clump them together. You know... Salinas, PG, Sand City, Seaside, all of them bluetongue.gif
