It's funny how those who either don't play Runescape, or of those who do, don't associate with newer members, are the ones to undermine the Runescape faction's activity and even in some cases try to persuade people not to become involved. There are more people actively involved in the Runescape faction than any other faction we have right now, and even if it were inactive, the purpose of the faction system is so factions can bolster one another from the community's perspective. I really don't understand why members would do the opposite for a faction in a game they simply don't play...
I see nothing but encouragement for the GW faction, the WoW factions, the AoE faction, and all of our other factions... Even from those who don't play the games. But the RS faction? From those who don't play Runescape, I've been seeing a lot of pressure to decrease activity. Trying to persuade new members that we don't have anything going in RS, trying to discourage those who are active from hosting events, trying to undermine the events that are hosted to discourage people from attending, and separating Winhill Garden from the rest of SeeD for no logical reason so any event that is hosted will only appeal to a piece of the faction. I just don't understand it, especially when coming from those who desire activity.
If one wants there to be interaction, the least they could do is encourage it if they are inclined to do anything at all. If one wants it, the last thing he/she would do is keep pushing the division.
A lot of people have been doing this, and I don't think they realize what they're doing. Now is as good a time as any to set things straight, so why not put it behind us and fix the problem? Star Jedi and many others are already working on it, they just need some support and it can be done.

Star Jedi this, Star Jedi that, nobody gives a damn, you know? All I see is how great Star Jedi is and how great the factions are, but what about the real community? You say people are trying to undermine activity, but that couldn't be any further from the truth. Everyone wants activity and success in the factions, but there is a fine line drawn in this case. Now I'll go ahead with the rest of this comment and say I'm speaking for a large group, then you will say I'm not, and it will end that way, but I'm doing it anyway. I do believe I'm speaking for a pretty large majority in this post, but believe what you want because that is what happens anyway.
Since the merge with UFF, SeeD has been bombarded with immature, spamming, and annoying UFF members. If you don't believe this look around. Granted, one slipped through and became somewhat normal (Moo
), but for the most part every UFF member falls into the category above. Frankly, people are getting sick of it and I know I did at the very beginning when I saw what the "huge 700 member group" was like. I just get sick of it...
* I removed this last paragraph and I want to apologize for what I said. I was a little bit upset this afternoon and although I do believe some of the things I said, I did overestimate my feelings...

First of all, my post was not directed at you but many people. With the other recent thread where people mocked UFF, in this thread where more than just you questioned UFF, in multiple threads in the Announcement Forum where a UFF member replied, in the Event Forum, in their Garden forum, in the Runescape Faction forum, and elsewhere, these things have been coming up along the lines of what I am discussing here. I am replying to all of that, of which for the most part you have not been a part to my knowledge.
So don't take this personally, I am addressing the clan in my reply, not you.
And I don't know what you're talking about with "Star Jedi this, Star Jedi that"... I talked with her recently, and she has been working to boster the Runescape Faction's activity. You aren't playing Runescape. I'm not playing Runescape. She's trying to organize those who do play Runescape, which is what I was talking about in my reply. I was not saying that she's the only one helping, because many have and are. Since we're talking about a Runescape event, though, I figured that these efforts are worth mentioning.

Bleh, I seriously have not done too much, only taken an initiative and set up a few topics to help lend the RS faction a bit more activity =\ Something that has really helped lately is the newest update in Runescape: Player Owned Houses. A bunch of SeeDs have come back into activity, which has helped greatly in more discussion in the faction forum. Most have even gotten membership again and are enjoying it a whole lot (a lot of addiction with this new update, hehe x.X).
Although I'm quite confused with all the comments directed at UFF.. I see newer members come into SeeD with the 'SeeD' tag, but find out about UFF and its activeness in Runescape, and switch to the 'UFF' tag. A lot of them are SeeD members, but since UFF is quite active in Runescape, they want to get in on the activity and the 'garden' so they can be considered part of it. But UFF is called annoying just because of a newer member, well, having newer member actions, all the while using the UFF tag. I see it as some are not giving newer members even a chance before they judge them based off of the tag. Lol, and yes, a whole lot of new members appear annoying, but UFF shouldn't be stereotyped because of the acts of newer members who are getting used to the place..
I just don't think it's fair to say every UFF member falls under your category, Base =\ I look around the UFF forums at the *older* UFF members, and they support UFF and each other as much as they possibly can. They have that clan feel. But it shouldn't be UFF's fault that incoming members are stereotyping the whole UFF image, making SeeDs label them as annoying, when they can't control it. I've added some UFF members on Runescape in the past week and talked to them, some of them including Asadorn, Foge, Neils91, Terra man, Sashstar, and others that I could check on my friends list later. Every one of them has been nice to me, and they're a lot of fun to talk to.. because of course they play the same game I like and it's fun to talk about it with them.. and they were all new at some point x x; Newer members just need people to talk to so they can feel included.. Most of us were all a bit annoying when we first came here, hehe, including me
Because some have met 'annoying newer members' with the UFF tag, no one is bothering to meet the others because of it, bleh..
I'm glad you're hosting Chats, Base, and I've been noticing a lot of activity coming from it from your mod notices..And it was so much fun back then to go into chat and have SeeDs always in there to talk to.. Maybe we could get UFF and some SeeDs in there at an official time and get to know each other a bit more? I just think that would help more than judging before one gets to know someone =s Frylock9 (the visionary leader of UFF) has wanted to hold events with us, he told me through a PM, and IMO just getting to know UFF would make a whole lot of difference in this tension between us >.<; We're the same kind of people, it just seems as if members are taking newer members (even newer members that come through SeeD and change their tag to UFF) to be the whole image of UFF..
I'm sorry to discuss this here, but I have been really wanting to do so somewhere, bleh..

Runescape gets too repetitive. I think a lot of people came here for the gaming aspect of the forum, grew up, left gaming behind, and are now just here to have fun topics to talk about.
Thats why I'm still here, at least.
