Many know that I've been working on an updated LotGD server, and it's finally ready for players. It's not finalized, I plan to keep this one up a bit more than the previous. So what's new?

- Many new races and specialties. All of the current races and specialties are listed in our new LotGD information page (linked in the "Random Stuff" block). Only the defaults are available for your initial character's creation. However, there is a jump in what is available after the first dragon kill, and following that more and more will become available gradually. There are also a couple that involve referral points.

- Many new locations. You'll find it important to travel around in order to establish a well-rounded character. Rumors also exist of a secret place for those who prove their strength and heroism...

- For all of your gambling needs, I added a casino. bluetongue.gif

- Substantially improved clan system.

- This is a little experimental... But you can currently establish your own structures in almost any town.

- New events have been added.

- New battle arena, as well as other scattered points of interest that weren't there before.

- And more..

One more thing I need to say... This had to be done on a clean database. Some have been requesting a reset, others wouldn't want one, but it had to be done. Don't worry about a reset with the new game, however, since I don't plan to ever reset it unless something bad happens. The old database still exists, but I don't plan to bring it back at this point. In the future... Who knows.

Anyway, just click the "Green Dragon" link in the Stuff Column. It'll open in a new window and you can create your LotGD account. thumb.gif

Lastly, please post bug reports, suggestions, or anything else relating to the game in the Quad (forum in the Gaming Center category).

Addition:

I also added a number of unique encounters, and plan to add more. Among the many default encounters, you could come across Mr. Saturns, JGJTan, and many other surprises. Also, the masters have a Final Fantasy VIII theme (to go with SeeD), but that is subject to change in the future. Feel free to discuss encounters and masters in the Quad, including what you find and what you would like to see.

Whee, another thing for me to play if I ever have time!

(Loved LoGD in its two previous incarnations here... never played long neough to actually kill the damn dragon even once, though bluetongue.gif)
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

A feeling of deep satisfaction with defeating a test account that was capable of one-hitting the dragon. bandit.gif

You're lucky that all he has right now are HP. bluetongue.gif

Oh, and I found something you might wanna take a look at. Because of all the down time between days, I like to have multiple characters (that don't interract with each other). I also noticed the referral section, so I did a little test. It turns out that it is possible to refer yourself. My second character, Alpha, is now a referral of Neraphym. As there are bonuses involved with giving out referrals, there should probably be a rule against referring oneself, such as I have done. On the other hand, referrals are there to increase activity, so making many multis will accomplish just that. The referral is awarded when the referred person reaches level 4, so those multis will have to be active.

I really don't care what happens to the referral of Alpha by Neraphym, but I would like to retain both accounts if possible.

Indeed, it's not a good thing for a person to refer himself/herself. It can be faked, but that's why there's a level requirement before the point is gained. I increased it to level six, but it could change again. It should be an easy level to reach if someone plays, but tedious to do it over and over to gain points. It can also be tracked.

Also, don't worry about finding that out, you were honest about it... And it's okay to use multiple accounts as long as they don't provide an unfair advantage.

Sorry about that, you should be unstuck now (it was Neraphym I assume?).

I de-activated the grassy field until I figure out why it happened.
