We need some active factions, that's something with which most would probably agree. We also want some lasting activity. Guild Wars and Runescape should be a focus, but GW (the game itself) puts physical limits on size, and I can't really help much beyond the site with the RS faction other than by coming to f2p events. I know it doesn't have much to do with this thread, but I may as well say it again... If you are interested in doing things with the Runescape faction, it would be awesome if you can help with that. Please contact Master of Stuff and/or Star Jedi about it. thumb.gif

Anyway...

We need at least one more active faction. For various in-game reasons I'm holding off on the expansion of our EverQuest II guild, which is where I have been most active. In World of Warcraft, though, it is completely feasible to jump-start activity again. If there is interest in doing something there, I'll come back to WoW to revive the Guardians of Arcana in a big way.

The guild is fully registered, and has a tabard which can be viewed in its forum.

If I decide to go back to it, the guild will most definitely be revived and assistance will be greatly appreciated from SeeDs who play WoW. The guild, at least initially, will be handled in a somewhat expansionist manner. It will be done mindfully though, and I know first-hand that quick recruitment needs no shouting. bluetongue.gif

I'm not positive that I'm going to do it, but if all things point to it, it would probably be a good idea.

So if you are interested, please reply or contact me. Again, all help will be appreciated.

I discussed this with a few people, both from SeeD and in rl. I'm going to take a chance and focus on the Guardians of Arcana, taking it through the stages that I can remember from our RS faction in hopes that I can recreate the same situation that we had in 2002-2003. Expansionist at first, then focus on the other needs at hand. It worked for us before, I think it will work for us again.

It will be greatly appreciated if anyone with a WoW subscription can help on Eitrigg, or if you feel ambitious, perhaps you would like to create a faction on your otherwise main server. I'm not sure of the status of our faction in Kalecgos, but if there is activity there, that is another faction that could use assistance.

That would be awesome! thumb.gif

To help with the Guardians of Arcana, feel free to create a character on Eitrigg and contact me. My main is Aranel, of the Alliance. We also have a Horde PvP faction on Kalecgos, but I'm not sure if it's active at the moment.

The option is also open to start a faction on another server, although one should keep in mind that recruiting will probably need to take place for the faction to have any real activity. When more factions start growing that may not always be the case, but right now we don't have the activity needed for that sort of inter-game support. We'll get there someday. grnwink.gif

Why aren't you saying this about GunZ? bluetongue.gif Did I ever tell you that there is a GunZ game for Japanese and Korean players? I mean this game is huge in Korea. I have to wait for 30 minutes to get on a server and then I have to find someone who will play with me =\... little off topic but now back on track! ^^ You don't need to worry about WoW. It is one of the biggest MMORPGs of all time. Focus on the smaller and inactive factions. Starcraft for example. Or maybe a Call of Duty faction?

Darky: My bare hands.

A new Phantasy Star game, Phantasy Star Universe is comming out in the fall and I plan on getting it. I would like to start a faction for it, and recruit members from the game into SeeD. As for the other games, there isn't much I can do right now. I can attend RS f2p events, and can still play Guild Wars. GW has been a problem for me on this computer. Once I'm all settled in at college, I'll get my new comp up & running and hopefully will be able to play GW. I still have to beat Factions!

I've lost my subscription to WoW (although I don't really care anymore bluetongue.gif ). I may subscribe again if more activity shows. I personally think we should put our time and resources toward Guardians of Arcana, since Defenestrators has lost Callum and myself.

Indeed, it would be awesome to have activity there. thumb.gif

This thread is more-or-less me trying to find a way that I can directly help. Didn't really intend for it to sound like SeeD should prioritize factions beyond the couple that I mentioned. As for me, I should focus somewhere. Seeing the reasons to hold on the EQ2 faction, how I know SeeDs and people in real life who are into WoW, and how WoW has so many players, it just seems to be the most logical contribution from me as far as leading a faction goes.

If you'd like to write threads about GunZ, trying to bring in some interest like I'm doing here, you're completely welcome to do the same. bluetongue.gif I'll see what I can do if there's any way that I can help with that.
