yea, so far my book is 7 or 8 pages on the computer. in my composition notebook that i originally wrote it, it was 87 pages. right now i am about 40 or so pages out of that, its amazing how much handwirting can fit into such a small amount of space on a page.....

but of course, one or two pages for the introdution, one for section 0.... its an explanation of a few things before the story..., and then the rest depends on how long the next sections are.

i'll tell you when i send my book to publishers around the world and then again if it gets aproved, then again when it come out.

when it comes out i'll tell you the title of the book, my name (or pen name) and what publisher i used.

if you are writing a book and its been sent to a publisher, please tell me because i might want a few places to know about so i have a list already.

thanks fellow writers for help, infomation, and advice TheSmile.gif

ps: tip for advising publishers- give me one that will print fantasies and sci-fi... a magazine is suitable too.

Yeah, I kinda started one and I'm trying to get the characters down, but I'll be able to work on it more in a month because of summer.
This was totally out-dated.
Now it's updated.
I think?
Yeah.

....
Nice.

I have a story all worked out in my head, but writing it down and publishing it seems like a lot of hard and complex work. And then, if I don't publish it, but use it on the internet or something, I always am paranoid about people stealing my ideas.

i agree with you.

anyways, if and when my book comes out, you may notice that one of the main characters has my display name ShiftyEyes_anim.gif

i let someone read part of my first draft, they said that the names i came up with were incredibly creative. the name of another main character was actually the name of one of my former friend's LARPing names. the only reason why i call her a former friend is that i just haven't had any contact with her in a long time.

I have a book idea right now that I've been working out. Kaiser Mike has been motivating me to keep working on it.
KaiserMike: I feel so stupid.
KaiserMike: ….
KaiserMike: *ahem* I feel stupid.
KaiserMike:……
KaiserMike: Valerie, this is the part where you disagree and say “No you’re not!”
Valerie419: …. Oh, crap! I’m sorry, I wasn’t listening! …. Oops.

Don't want to burst your bubble, but you're making it sound way too easy to get published grnwink.gif A friend of mine who writes children's books took 6, almost 7 years to get her first story published and now she has released many of them. Make sure you are ready to spend a lot of time and even money to get published and sell it if you plan on going that route.

I've written several short stories, but nothing more than that. I haven't done so for several years now.

oh, i have my ways of doing things.

a writer came in a visit to my school one time... he said that with his first book, he sent out more than 200 copies to publishers and only like 5 accepted it... the good things was, he had an experienced writer helping him with changes to the book and who to send it to, etc.

i could just set up a web page/pages put the book on it and then copyright the entire thing. one thing i saw on a site was that if you made a certain number of copies, you had to pay a fine of $500.00 if it were a mass thing it was a fine of $70,000.00 to the maker of the site. TheSmile.gif big money here i come TheSmile.gif

Yep thumb.gif

And then you'll need to track down every single person of the millions who will copy it to get your money off them grnwink.gif
