Rhesal pulls down the scope for the Isotope Destabilizer. The cannon on top of the Avenger slowly turns toward the injured Aakryyxe. Rhesal put the scope away once he had his shot and pressed the tiny, flashing, blue button. A direct hit.

The Aakryyx explodes into space dust! The other ship is breaking off pursuit. As the Aakryyx prepares to escape, another ship comes out of hyperspace. This is a strange ship unlike any you've seen before. It sends out a stream of dark matter that destroys the fleeing Aakryyx in one hit! After annihilating the enemy ship, it rapidly approaches you. Your scanners locate a strange symbol on the ship's hull.



The ship hails you on your main screen. You can see the crew is Aphorite.

"Well done, captain. You may call me Commodore Rook. You have shown yourself to be quite a capable commander and warrior. Neraphym was correct in suggesting that you should join us. Would you like to know more about our faction?"
