From high orbit, the new Starship beams down Neraphym, Rhesal, and Oric.

"Hmm, this is a most interesting planet. We may have to do a little terraforming to make it more hospitable, but that is not important right now. This is as good a spot as any to establish a base. Rhesal, send down an engineering crew and set up camp. Oric, keep a security detatchment down here and collaborate with engineering to create a deffensive system. I want this station to be able to resist even the strongest fleets. I will be back on the ship waiting for the arrival of several supply shipments."

Neraphym beams back aboard the ship.

After a few months of construction, Starbase Alpha is complete. SA has a starport, a mall complex, a defensive weapons array, a giant storage facility, a bunker, and an advanced computer database.

Neraphym activates the communicators.

"Attention all DASE Crew. We will begin our first foray into the unknown shortly. Report to your stations at 10:00 hours. The council has finally come to an agreement on the name of this ship. From this moment forward, this glorious ship will now be known as... "

"The Ascent."

[Neraphym]

"All crew to stations. Ship will be entering warpspace in 5...4...3...2...1..."

A spatial distortion opens up and the Ascent passes through it. The ship disappears from the Arcturus system.
