[Darkness]

As the final strike is layed, the place where the three claws had cut seemed to tear open and show darkness within. The darkness shoots outward, sprouting up like a ridge of mountains. Deep fissures in her flesh sprout open, crossing her face, her arms, her legs... And the darkness shot outward. Soon her whole body was encompassed, and a sound as if several woman were screaming underwater as they drowned filled their ears. In an explosion of dark light, the sound ended. Particles of tangible darkness swirled around where she had stood and then twisted and convulated back to where the statue had once stood of the woman. There the darkness was cleansed, turning to a pure white, and then it coalesced into the form of a human woman, lying on the pedestal. Within the fountain, the darkness was also cleansed, leaving pure water.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym slowly approaches the woman lying on the pedestal. He nudges her with the dull side of his katana.

[Darkness]

She does not move. She does not appear to be breathing, either. And her face is very pale. She looks to be the same woman as you just fought, though much more whole and beautiful and holy. It is safe to assume that it was not you who killed her.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym does not linger at her side long, for he runs over to eledhwen to see what has become of her.

[Darkness]

As he walking is off of the pedestal towards the edge of the fountain, a white light suddenly begins to shine along the edge of it. It raises up until it seems to reach the ceiling (though the darkness consumes it above you as it gets too far for you to see). And then on the center of the edge of the fountain, the stone seems to rotate and transform and raise up, and upon it is a staff. It seems to be made of some sort of dark wood... Ebony perhaps. It is around three and a half feet long, and at the top three dragon claws clutch a glowing orb.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym walks up to the staff and examines it. He attempts to take it.

[Darkness]

He finds nothing blocking his taking it.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym takes the staff and walks back over to Eledhwen. He kneels down next to her and tries to wake her.

[Darkness]

She does not seem to awaken... She does breathe, though.

[Neraphym]

Neraphym takes Eledhwen onto his back and carries her over to the fountain. He lays her on her back. Neraphym then cups some pure fountain water in his hands and tries to get Eledhwen to drink.

[Darkness]

She coughs and splutters for a moment, and seems to have awakened. As she begins to sit up, she falls backwards again and falls into the fountain! As a reflex action, she grabs Neraphym's arm and pulls him in too! Hee hee!

[Neraphym]

Neraphym stands up in the shallow fountain and sighs...

"At least you're awake now. Oh, and my wounds seem to be healing now."

[Darkness]

She splutters for a moment and coughs to get the water out of her lungs, and then shakily stand up as well. "I suppose.. What happened to me? And what happened to that thing we were fighting?"

[Neraphym]

"The darkness fled. All that remains of our foe is that woman's corpse over there. Also, this staff appeared. I'd imagine it has great healing properties. I think you ought to take it."

[Darkness]

She takes it in her hands, examining it. "Yes, I can feel its power..." She turns it over in her hands, rubbing them across the smooth surface.

She then comes back to reality and looks down, and then she laughs. "I suppose we should get out of this fountain." She gingerly steps out of it.
