Huh. Our French teacher taught us about the basics of insulting/swearing in other countries. Apparently in Canada, you 'swear' using religious terms. And a lot of insults in France refer to the English. And the British use a a few referring to the French.
Reminds me of an episode of Trigger Happy TV (sort of like a hidden camera thing)... Guy sitting on a bench with headphones on (actually speakers so others can hear what is being played) next to a member of the public. It's a French language tape and has handy phrases such as: 'I hate you, I hate your country, I hate your food and I hate your face' and 'You are going home in an ambulance'
