In other news, I am currently procrastinating from writing my essay on Lady Gaga. It was so crack up. We had to present our research topics today in class (Approaches to the Study of Music, so it's like all theory-based) and they're based on the works that we got to choose at the start of the term to study throughout the course. Like, the first people were all like "oh I'm doing Wagner and academic scholarships" and "I'm doing Rossini's opera..." and like all this intense classical stuff and then it got to me and I was just like "I'm doing Lady Gaga and the music industry."

Split second silence, and then someone just calls out "f--- that's awesome!" and I was like haha shame you guys are doing boring topics and I get to do a fun one.

But now I'm like all ugh about it because I'm applying deconstructive theory to Lady Gaga as a musician and it's making me see her as yet another product of capitalism (like I do with Britney all the time at the School of Music) but I still love her.

I'm ranting because I don't want to do my essay. Save me.
