I swear, falling off a cliff in WvW is like even more deadly than normal. Eugh. So many times I just face planted thinking it was just a short fall and the next thing you know I'm back where I first started.
BUT AW MY GAWD I'M SO EXCITED.

Most classes have a fall damage reducing trait. Pop it on, jump off the cliff from the initial keep in WvW, then replace it. Great way to cut off a huge chunk of land and not be stuck with a useless trait.

I don't get it. 
Also, omgomgomg a friend whom I haven't properly talked to in like 6-7 years just messaged me on Facebook and was like "I'm in Welly, heading to town for a beer soon wanna catch up?" and I'm so excited!! It's been like forever! AHHHHH!!
But it does mean that I have to get out of my pyjamas on a Sunday night.

Gah. He must still be playing around with his brand new nephew... his sister just had a baby so him and his parents flew down for the weekend to visit. I WANT TO SEE MY FRIEND AND HAVE MY BEER. /selfish

Turns out his baby nephew fell asleep on him and he didn't want to disturb his sleep and so he didn't move until like 3am so his sister could have some rest haha I guess I'll just have to visit him when I'm next in Auckland or something.
But AWMYGAWD they're letting us play the Sylvari and Asura in the upcoming beta weekend and it's going to be amazing! I'll definitely create a Sylvari if they wipe all our characters in preparation for the game release but if not... I might just explore the areas as my Mesmer instead.
