Resiak was torn between what to do. He wanted to summon the strength to shatter the boulder and help the trapped fellow, as he knew not what lay behind the stone. Resiak sulked for a moment in his choice, as he couldn't figure out what to do. He decided to punch the stone on his way by, and began to ascend the stairs on the left.

Lucy had already began scaling the stairs without much of a decision. He was fixated on his own personal gain, and not the well being of the trapped explorer that decided to tag along. He looked back at Resiak as he punched the slab.

"Do you have some ill wish to break that hand of yours?..." he asked, not waiting for an answer as he peaked to the upper floor. Huh-hah!

Resiak gazed up at Lucien, who had resumed scaling the wall and shouted back, "No, I just feel useless knowing that he's trapped and there isn't a damn thing we can do." Resiak followed shortly behind Lucien.

There is a slight scratch in the rock, but that is about it.

Resiak follows the small trail of water coming from the passageway, watching the walls and floor, checking for anything out of the ordinary. Or anything that was any farther out of the ordinary.

Lucien followed the trail of water on the second story along with Resiak. Tucked closely behind the bigger male.

After a while, you approach an opening into a very large room. You notice that it is raining heavily in this room, despite it being entirely underground. As you look up, you notice an ominous array of stalactites littered across the tall cavern ceiling. In front of you is a large lake of the blue water, presumably the source of it all. Unlike the calm, placid nature of the previous pools, this lake is circling in a massive whirlpool. At the very center of the lake is a bright source of pale blue light. As you step into the room, you become drenched in the rain... it is blue water.





Edit: There is only a small shore near the entrance. The rest of the lake is contained by the cavern walls.

Lucien wraps his cloak about his petite frame doubly, being able to, what with his girly formation inside of a large man's cloak. With the hood protecting his brow, he instructed his companion. "Hrm...Time for the leap of faith, my young rip. Walk out to that light...See what it does, eh?" Lucy would get as close as he could to the pools of water without actually daring to go in. He didn't have the boots of waterwalking. (Jesus boots!)

Resiak was hesitant. He wanted to believe this so badly, but it went against everything he ever knew. He took one slow step onto the water, and didn't sink!

He took another step, and didn't fall in there, either. The rushing water underneath him made his steps uneasy and he almost fell in, but he was able to reach the center of the whirlpool.

He reached out to grab the glowing light.

The cavern walls suddenly turned black as night. The rain stopped, the water stilled, and a film of black sludge began to collect on the walls and ceiling. Suddenly, a large amorphos blob of pristeen clarity shot up from the center of the lake and absorbed the light source into itself. It dashed towards the entrance, but it was not fast enough. The sludge began to launch itself off the wall and collected itself on the being. A strange, high pitched squaling noise echoed off the walls as the sludge polluted the once clear blob. The blob struggled against the sludge for a while, then collapsed into itself... from the puddle of polluted water on the ground, another, darkned blob arose. Darkness crept across the ground, turning all of the blue water into a black filth. The dark blob returned to the center of the lake where it began to grow even larger. It then notices to small lifeforms nearby. It begins to attack the one closest to it (Resiak).

Dark Water: Persistent Effect = Drains 50 HP per turn from all enemies.

Encapsulation: DP=300; The demon jelly wraps itself around a target rendering it immobile for 2 turns.

Rain of Spears: DP=500 to all enemies; The demon jelly destroys a segment of the ceiling sending hundreds of sharp stalactites down upon you. Can only be used twice (it runs out of ceiling area above you).

Suffering: DP=200 to itself; Every 5 turns, the creature mysteriously degenerates...


Note: I award intelligent battle tactics very generously... if you can think of a clever attack or something, I'll increase the damage.

Resiak is taken aback in horrid disbelief. He attempted to dash across the filthy water and attack the being, feeling very fearless. He remembers, he has Aranel on his side.

Resiak brought out his Bloody Zweihander and clasped the hilt tightly, raising his sword, he called the Sword of Aranel to strike the blob.

OOC: If it is a passive skill, it will have 'persistent effect' before it. Though that particular skill is not passive, I'll let you use it as such anyhow. First battle gift. (It doesn't apply to the life drain, though.) Also, the blue water is tainted. The EP buff is replaiced by the dark water drain. So no, your EP is finite.

Lucien watches this phenomenon and quickly dashes through the goop towards the foe. "{expletive hax0rd by Cspace}. That beast is tainted, avoid touching it!" Drawing his wavesword in his right hand and his dagger in his left, he would engage the creature.
