I don't see why Jagex allowed Miniclip to host Runescape. It seems to have caused nothing but problems, and I seriously doubt it has actually generated money for Jagex since none of them are members.

1. Miniclip pays Jagex (I'd assume) because Miniclippers like RuneScape and don't realize they can play the game through runescape.com rather than miniclip.com. Thus, RuneScape drives traffic to Miniclip.
2. More freeplayers = more ad revenue. Not necessarily more click-throughs, but more players = more attractive to advertisers.

Aaah, I see. I kind of forgot the ad money... Still, I see a lot of problems could or have been caused by it. Unless, of course, Jagex ignores it... :/
BTW, how are the free servers today? I'm not sure I want to see myself.
