The thing with deleting posts is because of the trash can. If anyone abuses it and deletes posts with the purpose of increasing one's post count, do so knowing that admins can see it. We've deducted from members' post counts before because of it. 
If you want to boost your post count, just look at DarkStorm. Never underestimate the post count incrementing power of roleplaying.
