Here are some pointers to keep in mind when you host an event...

- Always provide a time zone. If you don't, SeeDs may show up at the wrong times or throw tomatoes at you.

- Put all of the details for the event in the first post, don't keep adding things throughout the thread. If needed, edit the first post as updates are made.

- Always post the event on the calendar! It will place a notice at the bottom of the board index when your event draws near.

- It's usually a good idea to try to arrive at the event a little early. Sometimes members will show up ahead of time.

- Don't be afraid to post around on the forums about the event... You deserve all the visibility you can get. Just don't go crazy with it, and always link to your thread in the Event Board.

- It's usually safe to change the time of the event to a later time if necessary. It's usually not safe, however, to change the time to something sooner. If you postpone an event, especially, one should not try to "undo" that change. If that is done, members who plan for an event could easily show up after the time and miss the event entirely.

- This only applies to certain games, but if you would like an event to double as a promotional event without any real work, be sure that it is not planned to be held in a remote place or an instance. Try to find a place with a slight, guaranteed flow of players. They may get interested in the event and ultimately your faction and SeeD.
