There are some issues cropping up with the current blog system, including bugs and a few rather weird inconveniences. Most of all it seems that development has stopped, and we will need to upgrade the forums to the next version in the near[ish] future. Without the mod being ported to work in 2.2, we would have to abandon it altogether.

We're going to be abandoning it and installing the official blog system coded and supported by Invision, so future upgrades will be easier and members won't have to keep transferring stuff. I sincerely apologize, but it will be the last time in the foreseeable future that a transfer will have to be done (if desired by the member). It should be worth it though, the official system provides more features and should have no issues. It also provides basically everything that's already in the one we're using.

As for how to transfer after the upgrade, I plan to have a clone of the current forums up for a little bit with posting disabled.

There is no set time for the upgrade yet, I'm waiting for a few other things to fall into place. I figured that I would tell what's coming for the blogs at least, and so members know that I'm working on an inevitable upgrade coming most likely next month.
