And yeah, the entire American education system is a joke. The only thing our polititians can think of to fix it is to illegally (well, unconstitutionally) force kids to pray in school. This will solve all our problems.

Ah, it was the Daily Show, but the awesomeness of the Colbert Report eclipsed it.

Really, another thing can be that since the teacher has gun, the pupils wants to protect themselves, too, then brings MORE guns.

That is seriously the most ignorant thing I've heard in a long time.
Ever heard of Separation of Church and State? I HIGHLY doubt that the government would ever 'force' kids to pray in school, based on the fact that not every student enrolled in said school is a Christian, if they tried to make, for example, a Muslim try to pray, think of the media backlash that would ensue.
And it's not the Government that has kids pray unconstitutionally in school, it's the teachers, but after they get found out about, they are fired. The American Education System is most certainly not a joke, how would you like to be going to school in a place like Sudan where they don't even have a roof over their heads? The Governments only concern isn't the education system, if it was, there would be no war in Iraq right now. That may be a bad example but it is the truth, how often do you see a nationally televised school event? You see it on Mtv on a show called Two-A-Days. Thats the extent the Government is willing to go to.
And prayer would not solve all our problems, based on history it seems it might make our problems doubly hard, how many wars have been fought over religion? Too many.
I haff come back to troll your forums.

Congrats on whoring my name and being really immature to such an extent that you can't even keep the discussion going relevantly.

I guess you missed the sarcasm... Seperation of Church and State is only good as long as it is enforced. Sadly, it isn't. And our education system needs a lot of work. It's horrible considering the resources we can put into it. Of all the well-established countries, ours is the worst.

The way the Government is getting away with it is, they are going back to when the Pledge was written, saying that when it was originally written that there weren't people who were of a different religion other than the Native Americans.
Native Americans were never really part of the United States anyway, my dad worked at the Oneida Indian Nation, emphasis on "Nation" because Indian Reservations are more of their own Sovereign Nations.
-Edit- And Jake, I'm not intent on thinking I am the only person named Jacob, because my name isn't Jacob.
Thanks for the effort though.

In more recent news, the first Islamic congresman was elected.
I heard about that the other day. I'm glad to see that there is some diversity in Congress. I hope this man helps improve the public opinion of Muslims. The funny thing is that I heard about this from my ultra-conservative mother. She actually wrote a letter to one of our senators denouncing the fact that the congressman took his oath of office on the Koran. She suggested a law that would make swearing on the Bible the only holy book that one can be sworn into office on. I think that's ridiculous! Why would you force someone to be sworn into office on a holy book that is not of their faith? I consider myself a moderate (closer to the conservative side usually) but that man had every right to swear in on the holy book of his religion. My mother is so often a bigot.
