Hmm... Composite material? I'd go for pre-stressed concrete. Y'know how they put the steel in the concrete to make them more resistant to stress?

I miss structures and materials sad.gif This years physics was .. crap sad.gif

I'd have to go with steel-reinfoced concrete as well. Cheap, yet strong.

Well it's been quite a while since he posted that question, and I don't think he's checked it since, so I might just get things moving and ask something.

Something easy, to make sure the topic doesn't get stumped. Tell me the two conditions that would cause you to use relativistic quantum field theory instead of classical physics.

1) when you're hanging upside down
2) when you're moving backwards

[Yes, this is why I did so badly on the physics exam this year rofl.gif ]

Which will make it all the more embarrassing when we get marks back and you beat me. bluetongue.gif

Nope, Lightspeed is right though (Well either lightspeed or a reasonable fraction of it).

Relativistic Quantum Field Theory. Try breaking the name up into parts.

Hrmm, I assume you are speaking of high speeds and near large gravitational wells. Or you could be referring to relativistic effects on a quantum scale, but since you said you wanted an easy question I assume these are the two things you are referring to.

This might be a bit tough, but I checked and you can find it on google, so hopefully that works well for you all. bluetongue.gif

What are the two requirements needed to make a wormhole, in theory that is. To clarify, I mean what characteristics of the medium have to be present.

Personally, I have just heard about it, but I want to learn more, so I can't really explain it sad.gif

Aww, I got beaten to it. Although realistically it should be a Stargate and a DHD. Or a computer system like Earth has. Take your pick. I personally go for DHD...looks much cooler.

On a serious note, I have no idea what you'd need.

A black hole and an immense body of mass big enough to be tugged and tug the black hole without immediately being sucked in.
