I wanted to get the 7800, but that was 350 or so, so I didn't bother

$350? Ouch. Check Newegg next time...

Still, yay for upgrades and games bluetongue.gif

The one I was looking at was a bit better then that, it was a 7800 512MB

Anyways, turns out, I'm an idiot, and the one I was using the whole time was a PCI, not a AGP, so I tried using the AGP in the other AGP slot, and that's not doing anything on the computer, so I put the old one back in, and not sure what to do xD. I have the 1 AGP slot, and 3 PCI slots, so that means I could reasonably use either right?

Well, for whatever reason, untill I figure this out, my Nightfall's just gonna be put to the side

I'm not 100% sure, but my guess is that there's a setting in your computer's BIOS to disable the AGP slot (and, as a result, have one of the PCI slots used for a graphics card instead).

Which is kind of silly; you'd think you could simply remove the old PCI card and install the new AGP one and it would be auto-detected... but apparently not.

ISA=Extinct. Black in color.

PCI=Old and outdated for graphics. White in color.

AGP=Older and being phased out for graphics. Brown in color.

PCI-Express=Current technology. Usually orange in color. These have a little clip on the edge of the slot, sort of like a RAM slot. PCI-E requires an ATX-12V power supply, meaning you must have a 24-pin power slot on your motherboard or a 20-pin and then a seperate 4-pin power slot.

Bleh, hope you can get things worked out. Wouldn't worry too much about what you can run Nightfall on though, I've got a Pentium 4, gig of ram and a 6600GT and I can pretty comfortably have everything set to full.
