I'm closing this in favor of Revival Day threads, this discussion will continue in the Wayfarer's Tavern.



It's been a while since I last brought this up, but when we became the Arbiter's Order I promised that I'd set something up to bolster the idea of member leadership. Our guild is member-led and I'm working to make everyone realize that again. We thrive when our members are our guild's architects... Lately few realized this, and I think we can see where our guild went because of it.

We need to realize our foundation. While members can't alter the fundamental organization of our guild single-handedly, they can organize members in their own way, as well as push what it is that they want to do in the guild. Shops, events, faction leadership, and recruiting are just the beginning... Remember that "leadership" is an idea, not a position.

So to bolster everyone's personal ideas of leadership, we now have Spheres as a sort of job system.

Some are more idea-centered, while others are more game-centered. All have a specific area of contribution for the Council of Luscartia, as well as likely (non-exclusive) specialties in their factions.

Think of a "Sphere" as a job, but roleplayed to an extent so it's a little more unique than the usual for a guild. Some are also capable of providing missions to other members, and I'll pin a thread about that in Luscartia shortly.

As with some other fields, you can set your Sphere from within your control panel. It will be visible next to your posts (look to the left of this one).

This idea is likely to be expanded upon in the future. However, it has a definite purpose now... I will sincerely ask for some to make an attempt to break the ice in the CoL, since it's up to the members to actually make this work. It'll require some posting in that forum, and hopefully some initiative is also taken when it comes to our factions, which are in desperate need of leadership.

You can be an architect of tomorrow's Order. The summer is coming, now is a better time than any for us to realize our purpose and goals, and to begin to strive to reach them.

Yay! I'm glad to see things have settled down a bit, and you finally have some time to devote to us (and we're very thankful for it!!!). Now it is up to us members to take it the rest of the way and further develope our gaming community. Now that the final update (I presume) is here, we can start to realize our goals for a better Arbiter's Order!

It's just the last of the original plan, who knows where we're going next. It's largely up to the members at this point, but we can fairly easily expand on what we have now.


DarkStorm is actually next on my list for updating, and I'm still keeping an eye on Quantum Star's progress...
