This isn't our member list. This is beyond our member list: Those who sign here truly want to bring SeeD back to where it was, and will try to help with getting us there. Promotions, including SeeD promotions, Arbiter positions, and Tiers, will come more easily for those who are willing to organize. ... I truly mean that.
If you are willing to help, and are interested in signing this, the following should be true...
- When it comes to Runescape guilds, you consider SeeD to be your primary (or only) guild. I'm not saying that one can't help if he/she also belongs to another guild (we don't have a "multi-clanning" rule), but when it comes to this, we're seeking those who will be dedicated to the same goals to the same extent. The reason I bring this up is for members to focus, not merely to see our goals as something on the side, at least when it comes to Runescape.
- You will consider recruiting to be very important, as well as events which should take place alongside recruiting. Both need to take place at the same time for SeeD to grow, and it should be handled as a guild instead of by individuals. You will never discourage recruiting, especially by pushing new members away.
- You will not be outwardly elitist. This means that new players are welcome. It doesn't matter in the longrun if a recruit is new to Runescape... In time his/her level will rise if he/she continues to play. In an ideal situation SeeD should help with this, at least in one way or another (which includes support and optimism here).
- Be willing to help others. If someone needs help with a quest, needs some components, or needs something else, as long as it's a fair request at least consider to help if you can. If you can't, don't discourage others from helping. We're a guild after all...
- Be optimistic. What's the point of saying that you'll help, when the next day you turn around and say it's hopeless? If it's hopeless today, how did we even begin in the first place? In the beginning we had three members, no site, no history, and our members were somewhat low when it came to level. Today we have CurvedSpace and all of its active members, a wide range of potential support, some high-level RS players, and collective experience beyond most other guilds. Realize and convey this to others...
- Be a leader. SeeD (and the Arbiter's Order) is member-led. We grew when our members realized what they could do, and failed when our members thought they couldn't help. "Leadership" isn't a position or title, but a trait. One can have a title and not be a leader, just as one could be new and still make an impact. Realize this and we'll take our first step forward in a long time. Hierarchy isn't as important for us as one may think... Just look at the position descriptions and think about how many responsibilities are exclusive. Really only the ability to give positions, and the ability to start wars, are exclusive... This was intended!
If you wish to help, and if the above is true for you, please sign (in a reply). This doesn't entail specific responsibilities or require more time than you'd otherwise spend here, but is a list of those who truly support SeeD on all levels. So if you support your guild, let us know and let's start finding a means to organize. We may surprise ourselves when it comes to our capabilities.
