Any Runners Out There?

I've seen people mention that they run here and there in the forums, so I was just wondering how many actually do, since it takes up a large quantity of my life. Whether you run competitively or not..
Right now I'm in cross country season, and I also run indoor & outdoor track. The last time I ran a 5k (3.1 miles) was in 20:09, and my PR is around 30 seconds lower.. although I much prefer racing track than XC.

Of course. I practice daily to always make sure I'm ahead of my game! I don't run competitively, though. I just run to use up energy for about 99% of the time. During that time I'm practicing for when it really comes in handy.
Getting away from the angry mob I always seem to form when I'm in public.

Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".

To write it down for all the world to see.

I currently run on my own to keep in shape. I ran XC last fall for a private club for the second year in a row. I might run this year, but I'm still undecided. I also ran a season of indoor track as a sprinter, but I didn't like it much. I have no idea what my PR is for a 5k, but I think it's around 23 minutes or so. Needless to say, I don't work very hard at it
. I absolutely hate the act of distance running and spending my time doing it, but I love the benefits it offers. A healthy body and feeling good outweighs the pain.

I envy all of you that run consistently. :gonk:
I ran track last year. As a sprinter. -No- idea what my times were, never did bother to ask. ._o Obviously, I wasn't -that- excited about it, mostly because I loathe running in 95 degree weather. Not sure if I will this year. Don't want to; pressured to.

Maybe. See, right now, I get back from tutoring at 4-ish. After taking shower and stuff, it's about 5. Eating takes a little bit (time). Then homework takes the rest of the night, sometimes to 10 or 11. Track would be for two hours everyday after school. Would be -even more- tired, and not to mention how little time I'd have on meet days... And then there's a whole bunch of stress that comes from track. For me.
