Umm... Not a whole lot to say, currently. My playtime has been a bit sporadic recently, I really haven't felt like soloing anything. That means I've mostly been playing when other people need help, and given that the guild has been more or less dead recently (at least in my timezone), that hasn't amounted to a lot of play.
Day before yesterday I was trying to help Ratty with hard-mode Thirsty River. On the first attempt we finally managed to kill the monk boss, but we were about 4 seconds late for getting the bonus, the king had just disappeared.
After that we changed the party around a bit to include a bit more caster shutdown, and couldn't even get up to the monk boss again. Twice we got wiped out at the second last (ranger) boss, and once we didn't even get that far. Not really sure what was with the sudden change there... I was tanking as my Balthazar-form Dervish as usual, it's quite good there other than the fact that the rangers inflict blind. Plenty of chances to hit multiple targets. There's this one spot where you get rushed and spiked by tons of melee enemies, without a good tank in exactly the right position to get aggro your entire party gets wiped. I could only survive it by making sure Tahlkora was casting Shielding Hands and Life Sheathe shortly beforehand.
Umm... What else... In Eye of the North news, I'm trying to finish up the Asuran primary quests. Already did the Norn and Vanguard ones. I keep getting distracted and doing other stuff instead though, so it's taking me a while. Yesterday I was doing some quests in that area with all the dinosaurs, unfortunately Raptors run at 10 m/s and they do not know fear.
My necromancer turned two years old (probably a few months ago, but I never log onto her anymore
Nothing that I or my heroes use on a regular basis got nerfed in the latest skill update, so that's always good news. I think it's hilarious that they chose to buff Searing Flames further, it's not as if it was strong enough already.
This is getting long and rambling, so I think I should probably cut it off here. If I keep updating this thing I'll try to remember to take pictures of stuff so it's not such a boring slab of text.
