Do you actually celebrate Thanksgiving? I know a lot of people who don't.

And if you do.. do you actually like the turkey? I seriously hate turkey. And it makes me sleepy and doesn't have much taste to it.. Mashed potatoes and gravy are way better. Thanksgiving translates, for me, into "albino volcano spitting gravy".

But this year I'll just be looking forward to a lot of my friends coming to visit from college. bigcheek.gif

I already had Thanksgiving.

You Americans are slow.

Anyway, Turkey is only good if it's made right. What "Right" is, I'm not so sure. Gravy helps.

But stuffing... if that's done right... /drool

Indeed, we do. We're actually staying home this Thanksgiving.

Love it all. However, if given the choice, I'd choose to only eat the entire serving of dressing that we get. IMO, you can't do anything to mess up dressing. Gad, I'm getting all hungry just thinking about it.

Stupid thread... Yes. I like turkey. Everyone should know Mr. Saturns are in high supply right now, so there's no shortages AMIRITE?!

There's no meaning left behind this holiday other than to get the extended family together and pig out on turkey. I love it!

I love thanksgiving bluetongue.gif Someone always starts a fight over either Religion or Politics. Last year both. thumb.gif

We usually celebrate Thanksgiving and/or Christmas at a friend's house, and sometimes we celebrate it twice. I miss having Thanksgiving at home though; we have a lot of good cooks in our family. bluetongue.gif

Turkey's delicious if you know how to prepare it, but mashed potatoes w/ gravy, The Cornbread, and stuffing are the best. grnwink.gif

I'm all for any holiday that gathers families together (especially to eat). We always find something to talk about...

Canadian Thanksgiving is before American Thanksgiving. I guess I'll just have to wait for my food sad.gif . I don't really like turkey because it is a tasteless and dry meat.

Silly Americans and their unneeded holidays. Christmas is the only one you need.

Aside from that, turkey, mashed potatoes, roasties (roasted potatoes, these are gorgeous!), pigs in blankets (Sausages wrapped in bacon), gravy, apple sauce, and sage stuffing are the absolute favourite things to put on my plate at Christmas, so if that's basically what you have at Thanksgiving then I'd be in food heaven.

Oh, and I just love turkey left-overs.. A couple of slices of turkey in between some Tiger Bread, and a bit of sage stuffing is great.

We don't celebrate it except if someone's invited us over. bluetongue.gif Like last year, we went and ate food with some friends. =P And they're vegetarian, and I'm vegetarian, so it wasn't a huge turkey deal. bluetongue.gif

Mashed potatoes are amazing.
