As I said before, I think that if they want to come and join CurvedSpace as new members of these forums, new members of the Arbiters' Order, not as UFF 'merging' with our forums, not as members of UFF using our forums as a headquarters because their forums fail at life, it's fine.

Tbh you just can't expect UFF to drop their clan to come to these forums. They've done nothing wrong, just an old member with a grudge keeps hacking o.0

If they want to become SeeDs, then that's fine. If they want a faction here, that should be fine as well. I'm not sure what the problem would be.

well until the hack happened doki hadn't logged in for 8 months, (and u have to log in to see the forum) he plays some other game. the only reason why i think he wants us here, is because he doesnt have enough time for uff. if uff moves here, i doubt you will ever even see doki.

besides change can be good, no matter were u go there will always be bad apples. the trick is, to pick out the good ones and to watch them grow. because one day some of uff members could become end our greatest profit.

i say we give it chance and see what comes from it, its not like were gonna die or somethin. thumb.gif

So for those who doubt it... What's more important? A year-old grudge with one person, or all I said above?

This is a rhetorical question so there should be no "clever" replies to it.

Anyway, I don't see very good benefits. UFF gets a non-hacked forum... and we get.... a bunch of people using our forum because theirs was hacked?
I just don't want this to end up like the last time with flaming, conflict, and SeeD fighting against itself because some SeeDs don't like a clan.

I guess we could give this another go. But what if the little butthurt script kiddie starts screwing with us?

It's probably either a case of DDoS or bandwidth raep, and both of those can end up costing cspace a fair bit of money.

Then merge away. Most of the problems stemmed from Doki criticizing us about belonging or supporting the idea of a clan with requirements.

Edit: If Dokimos comes here then he better let me call him Theo.

Wow...if I recall correctly, this was the guy that caused so much grief in the past. Yet...again...you're going to merge with him? How about he sends all of his members over to SeeD. I never saw any problems with his members, just their "fearless leader" himself. Sounds like SeeD is asking to get stabbed in the back.

well my guess is u are picturing uff when it was here last. but its changed, majorly. the longestt active member in uff right now has been in the clan for about 9-10 months. its a new bunch of members, none of which are troublesome. all the bad ppl who once were in uff are longer there, just new ones. and if uff comes to seeD they WONT be called uff anymore. they will go by the name seeD, and they will fight to the death for seeD as well.

many of you think they will come and have their own forum. thats wrong, they will become one with seeD. they will fight along side us to the death. I really dont see any downside to this at all. the only change is that we get about 20-30 more active rs members, who will pledge their loyalty to seeD.

dokis not really in uff anymore, he logs in about once a year for like 5 mins. and if uff becomes a seeD, then i doubt we will even log in at all.

I suppose my biggest concern now since Dokimos won't be around is will Cspace have the time to get rid of our little butthurt script running friend?

Well, that is the only real experience I've had with UFF.

The trouble with UFF is that the old members were a bunch of butt {expletive ninja'd by Cspace}s, claiming their little forum as their home. They acted as if they owned it, could control it, stop people from posting in it. I have never liked UFF, but if you say the "new members" are better, give it a try, they give us {expletive hax0rd by Cspace}, they can run back to a invisionfree and make hate threads all they want.

But what tips the scale? I don't see how it's a rhetorical question.

The short-term may be a little bumpy, but the long-term doesn't have to be.

Tolerance is key. This was a mutual problem before, which is probably lesser now due to their apparent changes.

I wouldn't worry about it, but I'll check on exactly what happened to be sure.

I'm not too worried about getting hacked. I just don't want to hear about some insane bandwidth bill from Cspace, and I don't want to log in to find nothing but guro, scat, and goatse as the background for the forums.
Although I doubt that this guy has that kind of ability.

I've dealt with too many of these morons lately... maybe I'm just getting paranoid. It's probably just a kid who found gigaloader.

Edit: I'm outta here for the night. Work to get done.
