Boots and shoes differ in quality, creation, and use.
Besides, why is a boot not called a shoe, but a boot?
BECAUSE IT ISN'T A SHOE.

Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

Yes, it is.
That's like saying why is a cucumber not called a vegetable, but a cucumber? It's called both.
If I'm walking around in boots, I can say "Look at my shoes! They're purple!" as well as "Look at my boots! They're purple!"

But as a society, we are naturally inclined to call things what they -are-. Sure, boots may technically be 'shoes', but they are called boots for a reason.
It's not descriptive enough. If you ask for a salad and someone says "Would you like a vegetable in it?" You BETTER nod your head, because if you didn't want 'a vegetable' in it, you'd get nothing, as vegetables cover a wide variety of foods.
Just like shoes cover a wide variety of . . . feet?
It's a Boot. Not a shoe. A shoe does no justice, while a boot is descriptive and correct.

Cucumbers are fruit.
Anyway, SeeD is a boot. It is a boot because boots are strong and sturdy. Shoes are soft and easily comes apart. Big difference.

What?
But of course they are called boots for a reason! Because it's more specific. I know that. I didn't say we should start calling SeeD a shoe, now did I? It doesn't mean it -isn't- a shoe, either. It is. But it is also a boot. Technically, people can call it whichever they want, because both are right.

Analogy:
SeeD is to boot as guild is to shoe.
Therefore, SeeD is a boot and a shoe, since it is a guild as well as exhibiting the features of a boot.
