Well I am most likely going to end up buying this laptop. All costs a bought $1950 (w/o 7% tax)

I just upgraded the Harddrive to a 160GB Hibred w/ 256mb card
and 2GHz
(w/o upgrades $1700)

HERE

I remember when I first joined SeeD and I couldn't even afford RS membership.
That is why I will always come back here.
Too many memories.

That's a very, very awesome laptop. bluetongue.gif

*wants* =P

In a few years when my current laptop needs replacing (Since it's only a year old, and still very decent), I might have to remember to look here... I mean, seriously.. A laptop with SLI 512kb cards? drooling3.gif I didn't think you could get laptops with SLI o.O *wonders what they'll be offering in a few years*

Overall, the laptops look quite a lot more expensive than others >.< All top-notch components though.

EDIT: Wow. They have a very awesome ordering page where you can choose exactly what you want in the computers and has everything really clear. =P

Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

Wow...please don't. You're just feeding their uprising. First off, that extra ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS is just buying the name brand. That's it, you get nothing. The other seven hundred to nine hundred dollars is for the components. 160Gigs is good for a laptop. I have the same hard drive in my home computer. I'm afraid when I bought my hard drive, they were still developing Terabyte hard drives. But they're out now. They'll set you back about $300. But you can get 500GB ones for about $120.

Second, get a nice AMD Athlon processor. 2.3GH+ should be sufficient. Duocore, if you can.

I have no experience in laptop Ma'boards or video cards, they're all different. So...best of luck. I use a GeForce 8600 in my home computer. That's the latest GeForce one. $150 of gamer goodness.

And because it's a laptop, definitely go XP. Vista screws stuff up enough as it is. I'd either custom build it yourself or order from Dell. They're much cheaper. Gateway is also good.

Don't succumb to the over priced loot.

They exist....I like a brand name company to make it, but hey, what ever floats your boat.
