I wouldn't quit over it, really. Besides the wild, which i've heard is better than it sounds like from here, gameplay hasn't muched changed.
They could tweak things a little, though. Sounds like they might change around the loot thing, which is one of my main concerns, but..Other than that, skilling hasn't changed.
So no worries, I don't think you should do that to make a point, heheh
We'll see what happens.

The gift thing should change overall.
Are you talking about running runes for people?
-If it's for the exp, then you can still use the assist system to help. Takes as much time as having to open the trade window and go through both windows anyways.
-If you were planning on giving them the runes, then that falls in the realm of gift giving.
Cooking - assist system.
In those cases, the methods are not gone, only changed.
Also i'd like to see a small increase in the exp cap for assisting if they're depending so heavily on it.

What I don't understand is, I can't give gifts, I can't run runes, I can't get free cooking XP?
And said cookers can't give the food to other less fortunate nubbin's that need to train. ;(
Jagex is stupid, let's leave it at that. I share in your lament, but I'll probably still play some while this whole thing is going on. One thing's for sure, I'm definitely not as interested in renewing my membership with this load of crap going on.

Jagex hasn't back down on a change like this since like, fatigue, which toke how many years? =/
TBH, bots are helpful in ~some~ ways imo, they bring down the prices of alot of items, which makes it a hell of alot easier for me. Personally, I don't like "gathering skills" (mining/fishing/woodcutting), but rather, I like secondary skills (fletching/cooking/(in some ways magic/rcing))
Not to say that we should let them go; but why don't some mods just go to f2p, and ban a bunch of yew bots? It's sending a message that they mean business, players love jagex again, etc. Personally, we have forum/jagex/player mods, I wouldn't mind spending 1 hour every day banning, even if you don't get the recognition that p mods do.

In the G.E. some things are less expensive than in shops now.. (for example, marble slabs are 50kish less in the G.E. than in the shop) and you lose money if you buy the dragon shield half and put it together now (if you sell it in the G.E.).
I'm afraid the G.E. isn't working as planned.. It's a buyers market, and no prices have gone up from what I can tell
They keep going down until they hit the lowest point..
Eh well, maybe it just needs more time. Or maybe the economy is going to have to have a set minimum price for everything x.X
