What would you think if they were brought back?

I would

It used to be that at 5000 (I think, somewhere around there) posts, you'd be able to get one. So most people who have posted here wouldn't even have one if that rule remained XD And then, yes, it would probably be raised. I don't really see the point in it anyway. It just makes it harder to maintain groups and makes things more confusing. And there's no reason to have them
And the shop we had was for an older version of IPB (Invision Power Boards, the forum host Curvedspace uses), and when Cspace upgraded the forums, there was not a shop for the new version. I think, since then, Cspace has upgraded the forums -again-, so I doubt that there's yet a shop
There might be a shop by now for the -last- version, but... That doesn't really help

It used to be 3,000. I'd say I'm 99% sure on that one. I could dig up some old posts where people reached 3k and jokingly requested the title. Anywho, both the custom title and the shop are just too much of a hassel for Cspace, so he isn't allowed to do either of those until DS2 is done.

Err... You know how it says 'Member Group: Member'? Well, when you were to pass 5000 (or maybe 3000, according to Alpha XD) posts, you'd be able to be like... 'Hey, Cspace! Change my member group so it says He Who Lives In A Box!', he'd be like 'Ho her hum... Fine.' and he'd change it so it says 'Member Group: He Who Lives In A Box'. All of your powers and stuff would be the same -- like if you had been a moderator or a smod before, you'd still be one, or if you were a member you wouldn't gain anything, it's just a bit of customization. But it's pointless. Just makes some people confused.

Yeah, it was definitely 3k posts.

Even if the mod group didn't exist, the'd still be mods and SMods.
The way this works is that "Super Moderator" and "Moderator of this forum" can be programmed into any member group. That's how on RoL everybody is a SMOD.

... That made no sense. And what the fruitcake is a 'rol'?
