The choice of which Garden to choose is very important. The Garden will be like a second family, so make sure you choose your Garden wisely (and don't ask me why I didn't join any Gardens like it is written under my avatar).

Well... we aren't really that active, though we do have a ton of active members. We just don't really do stuff as a garden... meh. I don't even really play RS that much anymore bluetongue.gif

If you have questions about Pen-n-Paper RPGs, ask X Zolon (as Grimbold said) or myself. We're both avid D&D players in real life, and I know he plays more than that. Basically, the limitations aren't based on how much the programmers can program... they're based on what your character could do. For instance, most computer RPGs would only let you use weapons as weapons. In a PnP RPG, you can do anything your character could do, so you could pick up a bone from a skeleton and start smacking people with it. You play as if you ARE your character, and you are limited only by what your character could do if he/ she were a real person.

Nicely put...

Ultima Online is how I learned to roleplay...almost like D&D with graphics.

Try Falador Knights. I won't say we're extremely active, but that's because we have virtually no active members... (grrr) If we start getting active members, we can get the site active, have parties, and do tons of other stuff. grnwink.gif

o_O I always thought UO roleplayers got PKed while they were typing out their roleplaying stuff...

Meh, I'll tell my story: my brother got EverQuest... while looking for EQ-related sites I found the "EverCrest" comic strip... which eventually posted a link to "/gu..." (now "GU Comics")... which eventually posted a link to the "PvP" comic strip... which had an article about why kids should play D&D... which led me to get the D&D adventure game, then the actual 3rd Edition books... which found me some more friends that later introduced me to RuneScape. Let this be a lesson to those D&D addicts who say "MMORPGs suck! You don't use your imagination!" EQ taught me to roleplay and got me into D&D.

I play on strict roleplaying servers ONLY. PKing isn't allowed, unless it's roleplayed.

PKing in any game SUCKS. PERIOD. That's what I like about Star Wars: Galaxies. There is no incentive to PK, because even if you do kill another player, you can't take their stuff! Ha ha!

Banana Boy- Familiar
Alignment: Light
Xanthor Drathos - Sorceror
Class info:
Sorcerer: Like wizards, but bound to darkness. Sorcerers practice spells of destruction and darkness. Like wizards, they are physically weak, though can do massive damage if given the chance to cast a spell.
- Intelligence Effect (per point): Decreases EP consumption of abilities by 15
- Strength Effect (per point): Normal attack DP + 2
Hometown: Shral Valeron
Race: Dark Elves: Diverging into the path of Darkness at an undetermined date during the Second Age, Dark Elves have become one of the few true evil races in Earthia. While they are not known to hide in the shadows like other Dark races, they are probably one of the most capable of directly harnessing the dark powers of the world to do their bidding.
- For Dark classes: Intelligence + 10; At a post count of 4000, Intelligence + 20 instead

Me Spells
Sorcerer:

- Dark Grip (0): EC=5; DP=4: Surrounds the target with a dark mist, doing minor damage.

- Dimensional Ripple (200): EC=70; DP= 40; Effect = Stun: Target cannot take any actions or move: Attack spell that also stuns the target for 20 seconds. Will not take away the target's next turn in battle.

- DarkForce (300): EC=120; DP=75: Darkness crushes the target from all directions.

- Levitate (350): EC=200; Effect = Levitate: Prevents damage from ground based attacks as long as the target (anyone) is in the region.

- Suffocate (450): EC=200; DP=50 Each Turn For Following 3 Turns: The air is removed around the target, suffocating him/her. Does minor damage for three turns (along with additional attacks for the following two).

- Ground Shock (600): EC=250; DP=110: Will not affect levitated targets

- Dimensional Wave (800): EC=400; DP=160: The dimension is warped around the target, causing a large amount of damage.

-> Storm of Darkness (1500): EC=750; DP=260: The powers of the ancient sorcerer are summoned, showering the target in flames and consuming him/her in darkness.

- Summon Familiar (2000): EC=500; Effect = Summon a Familiar to travel/ Can do anything except attack or use abilities: Allows you to summon a familiar and send it to other areas. It cannot attack and will come back to you if attacked.

-> Dimensional Crack (2000): EC=1000; DP=400: A local form of Dimensional Storm targeting one character. The target temporarily experiences the effects of being caught between dimensions in this destructive spell.

Heh, I never could get into PKing in any game. The closest I ever got was taking my EQ wizzy (AKA wizard), casting "Levitate" on myself, and floating above the Freeport Arena until some newbies came in. Then I roasted them. How handy.

800th post!
