Return Of The Shop

If you've been around a while, you probably remember our old shop. Well, it's back.

Gaining Credits

Credits are the currency right now. There are two ways that you can gain credits...

Posting is the easiest way. You can get one credit per reply, and five credits per thread.

Rewards are another way, for contests and other stuff.

You physically gain the points on hour intervals. Every post counts outside the Insanity Board, but you won't see your total increase right away. Don't worry, that's normal. This reduces server load. I can't give an exact time because it could change due to random factors, but expect it to happen sometime during every hour.

Buying Stuff

There's nothing available at this moment, but there will be a variety of stuff. You can browse the items in the Shop (also linked at the top). When you buy something, it goes directly to your inventory. It doesn't actually do anything until you use it.

Some items will also have no use, and will be intended as "collectibles". They would be relatively cheap, but limited in the number that are available. They're like trophies and cannot be used, but can be viewed by others in your inventory.

Transferring Stuff

You can transfer items to other members, but not currency. Everyone should earn their own currency since this is intended to be a point system with perks, and not necessarily an economy. However, there's nothing wrong with giving items as gifts or in exchange for something else.

Lastly...

- This probably doesn't need to be said, but if you find an exploit, don't abuse it! If someone is found to be willingly exploiting the shop, his or her inventory is likely to be cleared. Otherwise it ruins the feature for everyone. Keep in mind that the deletion trick is very obvious to admins, so don't take advantage of it.

- If you find a bug in the shop, please send me a PM about it. It's a somewhat big modification, so bugs may not be as easy to find.
