I'll say this much: Dogs are very companionable, and many think that they are smarter than cats; but I've never seen 12 cats pull a man on a sled.

P.S.!!

I actually went dog sledding today, and it was extremely superhardcore. No lie. However kitties are still my faves for totes.

I'm not sure I should even bother with an argument, 'cause I know I'm not going to convince anyone bluetongue.gif

Cats are:
much more independent than dogs (I know my pets depend on me, but cats for the most part don't need my attention every waking moment we're in the same room)

smaller (yes, that is definitely an advantage, you get most of the bed!)

cleaner (and smell less, excepting perhaps the litter box) (except my cat who has a flea issue right now, I don't usually feel a need to wash my hands after petting cats)

cuter (short nose and pointy ears ftw; yeah a few dogs fit that, and for the most part they're cuter than the average dog, but they're still dogs bluetongue.gif; cat exceptions:longhair cats with smushed faces and scottish folds and hairless are not cute)

their wild relatives are pretty awesome (but hey, dogs' wild relatives are pretty awesome too, they just don't catch my fancy) (exception: lions. I'm just not so fond of lions for some reason)

Their dentition is pretty cool, no molars, and built in scissors! (ok, dogs have that to some extent as well, but it's better in cats bluetongue.gif)

they don't (usually) wag their tails (I really don't like being beaten up by a dog's tail, and the wind created on a cool day... not to mention that wafts their smell around more)

softer coats in general (even big cats!)

know when to (for the most part) come love on you and when to leave you alone (dogs just won't leave me alone, even when I'm so {expletive ninja'd by Cspace}ing annoyed with them I want to scream)

Common trait: both cats and dogs know who likes them the least, and gravitate toward them.

See? I can't even make an argument that could be considered good, let alone convincing bluetongue.gif
