So this morning I was feeling a little bored and decided to pop on runescape for a few minutes. I got interested in magic, so I decided I'd try and play that up a bit. One look at the prices on runes and the money in my bank told me I'd be needing to pick up runecrafting too. After a couple hours I decided I'd hit the grand exchange and see if I could sell some rune essence to pick up a little extra cash, and for the hell of it I decided to check out how much I could sell a santa hat for.

Fourteen Million gp.

Fourteen. Million. Gold. Pieces.

So I did it! I put my old santa hat (which I haven't actually worn for about... two years) on the grand exchange and two seconds later I had 14 Million gold pices. I bought full splitbark and mystic robes, a couple battlestaves, and some runes.

There's me in all my shiny new glory.

There's my money (only 13M left after my buying spree)

Anywho, my goal of sorts now is to get my magic up to 66, then do the desert treasure quest (which looks horrifying) and play around with ancient magicks.

I may buy a set of full dragon... Maybe... 10M is a good bit to spend. And I may do whatever quest is required for the dragon square shield and buy one of those too.

Anywho, I may actually be playing runescape a bit now!

Update!

I did splurge and buy full dragon. Including the boots. And an obsidian cape. And a toktz-ket-xil.

*sigh* I just realised that I was planning on getting one of the Santa hats I gave away to a friend, and sell it.

But.

Can't trade.

Oh well.

Get friend to agree and junk trade. Trade them junk you don't need from your bank.

From scratch: Buy/cut maples(44 each, cheap because of kingdom managing), fletch them into long(u) (144 value), trade them.

Sure it'll require a 4+ mil investment, but it's a 10 mil return. It'll also require members, but why have 14 mil for f2p? conf.gif

I would have gotten p2p. bluetongue.gif

Problem is though... I gave away almost everything I have, so can't exactly junk trade either... What's the difference in values allowed in trades?

EDIT: Although I do have a lot of dragon stuff. Could trade for other useful stuff with that. Or maybe actually raise my mining a bit more. <__<

Yeah I figured there were, but on the GE everything I looked at was more expensive. And I couldn't wear it anyway. I keep getting stopped by people who refuse to believe that the dragon chain is actually mine. One demanded I prove it by offering it in a trade, so I did. Then I figured out why people didn't believe the stuff was mine. He said "Wow. D chain is nice for a level 75!"

Anywho, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I'm hitting for a lot more damage and taking less, so eh. Working on getting my attack to 70 so I can purchase an abyssal whip. Is that still worth the trouble?

Yes. It's the best attack training weapon in the game still.

... I have forgotten so much about RS >.<

I logged in last night, found that I didn't have a pickaxe (OMGWUT) and started walking around looking for somewhere to buy one.

I feel kinda dumb >.<

So uhm... How much and where from?

Oh! And this general trading market thing (Or whatever it's called). Can you just sell items to ANY shop and make all the money it's worth? Or do you get more from specialised shops?
